He throws the ball on time into tight windows. He shows a strong arm, especially on inside routes. He does a nice job of reading the defense and finding the open receivers. Then, when the play breaks down, he can scramble. He is a smooth operator with the ball. He is a good athlete, so that lets him run the ball well. This past week, he played well. He threw for 357 yards and 4 touchdowns. Nonnenberg is a consistent quarterback who constantly makes the right read and play.

He is a classic dual-threat quarterback. He can run with his feet and throw the ball. He is equally as good running the ball when the play breaks down as when it is a designed run. He also does an excellent job of throwing on the run. Running sprint-out passing plays for him is very successful. He is also good at playing fakes by faking a run and either throwing the ball or running. In the pocket, he shows solid mechanics and throws the ball with good accuracy. Nonnenberg had a strong season last year, but I expect him to play even better this season.

As a runner, he is excellent at designed run plays. Then, when the play breaks down, he shows a good ability to run for big plays. As a pocket passer, he does a good job of throwing an accurate pass on time. He is especially good at breaking routes by throwing the ball to receivers. Either running or throwing, Nonnenberg proved to be a good player last season.

He had a huge game throwing the ball as he threw for 241 yards in a blowout victory over Franklin Regional. He shows a great ability to set his feet and throw the ball in the pocket. He is accurate when he throws the ball, and he has good touch on the ball. He is also a good runner, as he chipped in with 49 yards rushing on Friday night. Nonnenberg earned a helmet sticker, and I expect a huge year from him.
