Grant Woods – LB – Mayfield – 6’2″ 220 lbs
Grant Woods is someone who is beginning to catch a ton more attention as of late. He’s really built out his frame. He’s lean and plays with an edge. He is relentless in his approach and can squeeze through gaps. He matches that with a good set of hands.
Woods has offers from Toledo. He currently sits as a 2-star recruit but that is going to change very quickly in the season. He is set to have a huge year and with some attention already on him, he will get more offers as the season goes along.
Jalen Slappy Jalen Slappy 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Columbus Eastmoor | 2022 State OH – OT – East Moore Academy – 6’5″ 275 lbs
Slappy is a mauler. He plays just as big as he is. He is someone who, for his size, gets off the ball well. He is able to play quicker because he is a lighter lineman. He should put some weight on as he grows into his frame.
He has offers from Akron, Ball State, Marshall, and Old Dominion. He is a true LT/RT and teams in the area know it. You sign him, redshirt him, put some weight on him, and fine-tune his mechanics and you should have a set and forget tackle for 4 years.
Paul Haywood Paul Haywood 6'4" | 310 lbs | OL La Salle | 2022 OH – IOL – LaSalle High School – 6’4″ 315 lbs
Haywood is one of those Guards where he will be in your face the entire game. He is the stereotypical offensive lineman. The gritty personality, blue-collar worker, and find detailer. Haywood is someone who has a ton of potential and if he lands with the right program has astronomical upside.
He currently sits with offers from Akron and Dartmouth. With the way he plays and the type of clips he creates, he will absolutely have more offers soon. He’s an exciting offensive lineman to watch. There are not many of them you can say that about, but Haywood fits perfectly.
Aiden Lal – ATH – Hudson High School – 6’3″ 210 lbs
The best way to explain Aiden is quite literally the word athlete. He can line up everywhere on the field. He’s used as an RB, WR, and DB when needed. He’s all over the field. He has great speed for his size and his frame isn’t baby fat. He clearly spends a lot of time in the weight room.
He’s currently committed to Air Force. His primary schools are all of the armed forces. It appears he wants to serve the country. That is absolutely a great avenue to go down if he decides. But, it’s hard to wonder with another huge year and some big schools come knocking if he sticks to his original plan. He can play football at the next level. Wherever he goes, he’s going to make an impact.
Joey Pfaff – QB – St. Ignatius – 6’5″ 200 lbs
Pfaff is a 2-star recruit who has struggled to take the next step. He started slow but as he’s grown he’s developed quite a bit. He still has a long way to go, but he is growing and teams are noticing. He is a Pro-Style QB with a huge arm. With more development, he can put himself on the map for the recruiting scene.
Pfaff currently doesn’t have any offers. I don’t think that will take long to change when he steps on the field this fall. He has interest from schools and they are watching. Teams and schools just want him to take that step before dropping any official offers. Be sure to keep an eye on Pfaff this fall to see how it turns out!
