The best uncommitted OL talent in the immediate Madison area is Mount Horeb’s Evan Leibfried Evan Leibfried 6'7" | 250 lbs | OL Mount Horeb | 2027 State WI . This is another prospect who has so much talent, but even more potential. At 6’7″ 250 lbs Evan has so much room to continue to pack on the weight at the next level. Weight that will come with even more power. That is exciting because the film is already filled with examples of his current strength level that can overwhelm DL, get them off balance and rag doll them around the trenches before tossing them to the ground. In the pass game you see his anchor be able to stand up DL and then turn the tables and drive them back and into pancakes. I believe Evan has D1 talent and tools.

Rise: #75 up to #25
Evan hit our radar a year ago with his intriguing frame, but it was his junior tape that has us even more excited because the big man has really grown into that frame and learned how to utilize it best. The starting right tackle has put together a tape that illustrates his strengths well. He uses his length to always make first contact and has the feet to be able to get himself into positions where he can wall off the DL while engaged with them. He has the upper body strength to control where the DL goes and finishes a lot of blocks to the ground. In pass pro the long athlete again leans on that length to control or corral edge rushers and he has the lower body to be able to set his anchor and even go from setting his anchor to driving the DL backwards. Evan is still far from his ceiling too. So much room to continue to be coached up at this level and the next.

The Class of 2027 OL position is elite. We are talking about one of the deepest position groups at the top that we have seen. That is saying a lot for a state known for producing at the position. Evan is working himself into joining that top end of the group. He was a force on the varsity OL at RT. He has the elite frame you look for with length and room to continue to add another 30+ lbs over the years. The big man has built an athletic lower body. You see that he can reach guys and run laterally while engaged. The junior OT also shows off an impressively powerful upper body strength as he tosses DL around the trenches. Make sure this kid is on your long list of 2027 OL to know.

Evan is a prospect to be excited about and one that could be on his way to a massive breakout junior year. The 2027 OT possesses an elite frame that is just beginning to fill out and pack on that devastating power to dominate in the trenches. Evan’s massive wingspan gives him the advantage of always being the first guy to make contact. His mobility and foot quickness were serviceable in keeping him square, and balanced in front of his opponent too. This fall we will be watching to see things start to come together for Evan.
