This will feature some guys from the Bronx, just like the other articles in this series, there will only be one prospect per team. Something I noticed when putting this together is just how many teams in the Bronx lose more than the usual number of starters to graduation - a lot of the teams in the Bronx were senior-heavy. Still, at the same time, many of those teams, like JFK and Hayes, have a ton of young talent in the '27/'28 classes, which will be featured later. But here are some guys in the Bronx who stood out this season. I will add that for this particular group, these are some pretty limited evals, considering some of these guys don't have a lot of tape - a lot of them will likely end up on the WL as I need to see some more before I label them as prospects, they, for the most part, sit around the D3 range based on some limited JR tape but could grow into something more as prospects - the exception being the CHSFL LBs on this list.

On a team that is sending several defenders to the next level, Garcia stood out both when I saw Hayes play this season (twice) and on his Junior Tape - the best player on this specific article, and he should end up with a solid spot in our rankings update soon.

Garcia is more of a Rover/SS body type at the moment but can easily add the weight and strength to be a true LB at the next level; he moves around a bit in the Hayes defense, which shows some versatility. He consistently is taking guys on 1v1 around the LOS, he sheds blocks with effective hand usage, and in space or in the hole 1v1 vs the ball carrier, he shows good tackling technique with some violent finish at times on tape.

Silva was a guy already on our radar - a two-time CHSFL All-League selection, and he has some good accolades in his back pocket. However, I thought this season his tape had a little more juice and physical presence than years past. He added in a fair amount of RB reps, which showed his athleticism and movement in another way, but I still view him as an LB prospect.

He is much more violent finishing plays and more active with his hands getting off blocks on his JR tape - I also thought he showed more agility and better lateral movement than years past, I tried to take guys from our WL or new names for this article but had to mention Silva after a strong Jr year.

Another prospect who I already liked a good bit headed into the year, I thought Detances was great again for JFK - their backfield has a couple of other Juniors of note, but Betances is still one of the top returning backs in the PSAL.

An undersized prospect, I really like his twitch and change of direction. Really like how direct he is as a runner on tape - Betances finds space and attacks it. JFK runs a lot of Wing-T stuff, so you see him aligned a couple of different ways, and he does a good job of getting north, even on sweep plays.

Really solid athlete. The tape is a tad one-dimensional with the scheme but I think he would do well as a pass catcher based on his athletic traits on tape.

Ormsby, who is a two-way player and was one of the most productive Juniors on the Mount St. Michael roster this past season, is a new name to me.

He played RB + LB - a tad undersized. I thought on tape, he plays bigger than he is; you see some great bursts and explosive movements. He has strong long jump numbers as a T&F athlete. He should put some solid track times out this year based on his play speed on tape, you see great closing speed defensively and consistent open field tackling 1v1.

I like him at either position right now. I think he is more of a slot corner defensively with his measurables, but he is a really good athlete. He will likely debut on the WL, but definitely a prospect to watch next fall and during this outdoor track season.

Cameron is a good-looking prospect at 6'1 210 he plays DE and TE for Fordham Prep, and although the film is limited, I thought he flashes some solid movement skills, and there was potential for him to fit in at the next level as an H-Back or OLB - a few solid reps on tape but lot's of big names graduate from Fordham Prep so there should be plenty of opportunity next season.

I thought Fordham Prep had some standout seniors this year, but I didn't know about heading into the season. Knowing about Cameron, he could be the next significant senior contributor for the Rams. He will land on the WL of the soon-to-be rankings update, but there is some promise here.

I don't have measurable for Richardson, and he plays a run-first QB for Truman and his tape shows some solid athleticism and potential to fit as a RB at the next level. He has more of a RB build. He had a few nice throws on tape, but when he runs the zone read on tape, he looks more natural running the ball than throwing; he shows solid contact balance and some looseness in his hips to avoid tackles. The best athlete on Truman's offense. I like some of the reps on tape. I can't find measurables on the kid, so he will stick on the WL. He is a fringe ranked anyway, but he has some solid JR tape.
