5’11” 205 lbs. Elrod carries a strong build with noticeable lower-body power and functional strength. Plus movement skills, he accelerates quickly and plays with good game speed. He’s an instinctive LB with quick trigger ability to diagnose the play and good reactionary speed to drive on the ball. Plays with a physical edge to chase hard in pursuit and arrive at the ball with force. Heavy striker at the POA that finishes through contact and aggressively to the ground. Applies early pressure to the offense by beating blockers to the spot and making plays at or behind the LOS. Wide skillset to be a difference maker on both sides of the ball at LB and RB. After an injury shortened sophomore year, he remains a high upside prospect with intriguing long term potential.
Here are my Full-Season highlights from my Sophomore year. Only was able to truly play in 3 regular season games due to injury, but I was able to come back for the playoffs and make a huge impact. Grateful to win my 2nd State Championship🏆🏆 under Head Coach @MikeSheahan122, and…
Elrod is a hard hitting and attacking player on both sides of the ball at RB and MLB. 5’10” 205 lbs. he’s got a well-built compact frame with good strength in the lower half. A plus athlete, he flashes good short area burst. As a ball carrier he gets downhill and accelerates hard through the first level. Tough to tackle, he runs with power and sheds defenders with leverage and leg drive to maintain forward momentum. At LB, he’s got good reactionary quickness and burst to close showing zero hesitation triggering to the ball. Violent at both positions, he plays confident and full speed with controlled aggression to win at the contact point. Sophomore season was cut short due to injury but possesses a ton of upside and potential.

brought a level of physicality to the combine that immediately stood out. At 5’10, 195 pounds, he’s built like a true downhill runner — compact, powerful, and tough to square up. His 5.0 40-yard dash time might not have jumped off the page compared to the top testers, but when you saw him move in person, it was clear this is a kid you don’t want to meet head-on. He runs with real purpose, and defenders will feel it when they try to bring him down. He got a ton of work during the individual drills, and to his credit, he made every rep count. He wasn’t just going through the motions — he was locked in, running hard, finishing drills, and showing a real desire to compete. While he’s not necessarily going to be a pass-game weapon right now, he’s got serviceable hands and showed he can be trusted as a checkdown option out of the backfield. With his stocky frame and physical mindset, Nathaniel is the kind of back who thrives when the pads come on. Get him moving downhill and let him wear on a defense. He’s a name to keep an eye on heading into the season — especially if Scottsdale Christian leans on the ground game. There’s plenty of upside here, and he’s just getting started.
