Martinez is a patient and explosive runner who thrives between the tackles. He does an excellent job of letting blocks develop before accelerating through running lanes with top end speed. Once he hits the second level, he’s a threat to take it the distance. His sharp vision allows him to diagnose defenses and find creases quickly, while his lower body strength helps him finish runs. A consistent red zone threat, Martinez’s ability to punch it in makes him invaluable. If he hits the summer camp circuit, expect his recruitment to heat up. He’s poised for a big year and could be one of the biggest stock risers in the state.

Martinez is a back that was able to show his explosive ability when he got into the open field, having a long of 62 yards. He rushed for over 1,100 yards on the season and was able to make the first defender miss at times. Martinez shows the ability to be a power back when you need to move the sticks. He will be an under the radar guy that will be able to turn some heads this offseason heading into the year.
