Garza is a stout and compact player that runs hard behind his pads and is a true north and south runner that bounces off tacklers and has good leg drive through contact while able to gain the tough yards inside. He shows he can consistently operate behind his blocks before bursting out and is one of the top returning rushers across the southern section for the 2026 season. Garza is a smooth runner with quick feet through the hole, some lateral twitch when making tacklers miss in the hole if need be and is impossible to take down one on one with a powerful lower half and low center of gravity at the first two levels. He should be drawing in plenty of D3+ interest through his final prep season and is without a doubt a key name to note across the 2027 running back room.

Garza is part of a talented backfield at Costa Mesa heading into the 2025 season and is coming off a stellar Junior season campaign. He is a very strong runner that is tough to take down in one on one situation’s and is a low to the ground ball carrier with natural forward lean and bounces off tacklers in traffic. He shows good speed in the open field, while able to make defenders miss in open space and force bad angles with sneaky third level speed. He has a very strong build and powerful lower half while also excelling in pass protection in the pocket.
