About Siale
Expert Analysis
Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Pooi-Unga is a plug in the interior and should fit nicely as a true nose guard as he moves through his prep career. He is heavy handed, gets underneath blockers and wins with initial strike and leverage at the POA and just eats up double teams while athletic enough to two-gap as well if needed. He is a still young and developing player but has the size and fluid enough movement abilities to be a key name to note over the next three seasons and one of the better two-way 2029 guys in the Bay Area.

is another immovable object on the interior Offensive and Defensive Lines–except even bigger. At a whopping 6-foot-1 and 371-pounds, Pooi-Unga is expected to line up at Center and Defensive Tackle for the East team. The size and ability has always been a plus for the Bayside Bronco product, as our last notes on him had him listed at 5-foot-11 and 290 pounds two years ago as a sixth grader. While Pooi-Unga can block out the sun with his presence alone, he’s not just a big body. The big athlete comes from a family of power lifters and also plays Rugby. However, the scariest thing of all, is earlier in his youth football days he actually ran ball in short yardage situations.
