About Gibson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A prepared player that has the ability to make plays with his arm or his feet. Leads by example and is never to up or to down, next play mentality.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I hold myself to a high standard and work for the things that I want. If you are not there today, work to be there tomorrow.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

High Honor Roll, Coached Flag Football for youth football program,

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football I have performed community service projects such as passing out food at Christmas to those less fortunate. We have helped church move this summer. I believe in servant leadership, actions speak louder than words.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Not really a challenge, but unique in that my older brother and sister were adopted from Sierra Leone. It was a blessing for a family, but came with challenges as well, especially early on.

What type of college are you looking for?

The right college for me where I can get a good education either in sports management or exercise science. Where it is a brotherhood with the team, and football is important to the community. Somewhere that can be a home away from home.

Eagle is going into his second year as the starter after a solid sophomore campaign. He completed 58% of his throws for 2,590 yards and 23 touchdowns with 9 interceptions. He’s willing to stand in and take a hit to make a throw. He’s accurate downfield and doesn’t get antsy in the pocket. The arm strength is still coming along, but that will improve with time. With a full season already under his belt, Eagle should be even more efficient and in command of the offense this fall.
