About Lawrence
Expert Analysis
Tyler Graham | Prep Redzone Scout
Burton is a dynamic offensive weapon, best utilized from the slot where he can really show off his explosiveness and versatility. He has a great burst off the line, hitting top speed and putting defenders in a bad spot from the snap. His lateral quickness makes him impossible to cover 1 on 1, and his good route running creates separation time after time. After the catch, he becomes even more dangerous, making defenders miss in the open field and hitting his top speed for the home run play. Burton’s combination of route running, great hands and game breaking athleticism makes him capable of changing the game every opportunity he gets. Burton will be a massive asset for his squad this fall.

You may get tired of me taking about Lawrence in the coming months, because I am incredibly high on Burton and his upside. Best used in the slot and as a gadget guy, Burton has a great burst of speed, abrupt change of direction and extremely impressive hands. He runs good routes, hits top speed immediately, and can get behind DBs with ease. You cannot lose track of him, or he will hit you with the jets. When he gets the ball in space, he has great vision and can make defenders look silly diving for his ankles. I’ll be watching his season closely, watch for him to continue to rise the rankings.

GEM ALERT!
You can tell from the first couple of plays- Tre is a phenomenal freshman talent. His athleticism is showcased on so many occasions. At 0:37, Tre catches the ball in the middle of the field, stops on a dime, makes a man miss, and takes it to the house. At 1:20, Tre flashes great vision and speed. Then, at 1:34, Tre displays some physicality, blocking for his teammate.
Tre is almost certainly going to be a college prospect. I see Division 1 upside here, but the question is, can Tre string together enough productive days to reach his potential?
