About Dylan
Expert Analysis
Nick Rock | Prep Redzone Scout
Hayhurst put a stamp on the state during his senior campaign landing him the 1st Team All Conference honors, leading that Goldwater squad to a playoff birth to spark the culture of the program. A tough, workhorse type of back that busted over 2,300 yards and 35 TD’s on 304 carries. He sizes up with a sturdy frame at 5’6″ 190lbs, and runs with authority with a low pad level and strength at the POC. Really good balance and tenacity to run through opponents and keep plays moving forward, as he was a huge momentum player for Goldwater. A really impressive player that stepped up big in 2024 that deserves a shot somewhere in 2025.

Hayhurst was voted as the 5A Northwest Valley Region Player of the year after being one of the state’s leading rushers with 2,304 yards and 35 touchdowns on 304 carries. He’s a physical runner at 5’8” 180 lbs. that can absorb contact and maintain forward momentum with good leg drive and a low center of gravity. He shows good field awareness and instincts as a ball carrier with the ability to find and attack running lanes. Doesn’t need a lot of room to pick up yardage as he’s able to fit through tight windows and accelerate through the gap. Also a top wrestler, he picked up his first offer from Ripon in November but could pick up more late recruiting attention.
