State Playoffs Preview: Specialists

He even had 2 brilliant FG's from 50 plus out this year to give his team the lead when they needed it. Seth plays the whole game for Garden Plain and its every rare if he comes out of the game, which makes his performance this season even more impressive for the Senior Kicker. Mason has showcased this year he has a special talent. Mason has gone 8/11 this year on FG's with a long of 44 yards. As the weather in the state of Kansas starts to get colder, look for Mason to be able to cut the ball through the wind with his powerful leg. Currently committed to Kansas State University to play LB he very well could add Kicker to his resume when he steps onto campus next year. So far this year Maguire is 5/7 on FG's with a long of 35 yards. His tall frame makes it easy for him to send kicks into the strong winds of KS. So far Andrew is 5/6 on FG's with a long of 43 yards which is the 2nd longest made kick in Andover Central history. In last week's game he played in soccer game starting at 4:00 which he then hurried over to the football field to be ready to go and kick by 7:00. Folks, that's not an easy thing to do to go from running around playing soccer then to show up and kick for your team. He also plays WR but he has really shown throughout his whole High School career he can kick as well when he's called upon. He hit a crucial 31 yard FG in the game when his team really needed points. This year he's 5/8 with a long of 37 yards. He would be 100% this year of 3 of his misses weren't blocked.
