Drevariss Yeomas is a senior at Victor High School. It is very exciting to watch Yeomas run with the football and the contact balance that he has grants him protection to gain extra yardage in crucial short yardage situations. If there is an open hole, Yeomas has a ton of burst to blaze right through it and take off into the open field for 6. Yeomas has had many big time runs and knows how to bounce runs to the outside if the lanes are not present in the A or B gaps. What has been a very effective tool for Yeomas has been his stiff arm as well, allowing him to separate from defenders, especially when it is the last defending man in his way. A true power back that defenders hate to go against.

For [player_tooltip player_id='505856' first='Messiah' last='Hampton'], the straight speed after the catch was made was outstanding to see on tape. This is a 6'1” junior WR for Monroe High School has really nailed down the logistics into running complete route concepts all over the field. Between running routes in the middle of the field and also in the endzone with post routes, Hampton was able to lose DBs often with double moves. I was amazed at the quickness coming out of his breaks and the physical nature in his YAC ability to deliver a stiff arm on a DB to separate into the open field for a TD. Even being utilized on punt returns was a major benefactor as Hampton returned three for TDs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1354569' first='Marquan' last='Grimes'] is what you call a do-it-all football player for Edison Tech High School. Grimes plays the majority of his snaps at the WR and CB positions, but this season has added some special tricks to his baggage. At the WR spot, Grimes has taken end-arounds showing off his speed and even his throwing arm as he threw a ball close to the endzone for a completion. What I was really impressed by was the toughness that Grimes has. Many of Grimes' catches were contested but also resulted in taking some big hits. When flipping to the CB position, Grimes knows how to deliver solid tackles and stay patient when in coverage. When conducting as a CB for this Edison Tech defense, Grimes was able to slip by blockers and get after ball carriers. Truly, this is a player that wants to win for his team and has a lot of talent on film.

A lot of passion here with Marcus Roney from Churchville-Chili at the RB and LB positions. The energy that would jump off the tape when Roney would make a tackle or take a handoff was exciting to watch. Starting at the RB position. Roney knows how to find running lanes, fight through for extra yardage, and make an impact in the receiving aspect. Rodney has even taken direct handoffs as a QB in the read-options which shows his versatility. When watching Roney on tape, I do think he is even more impactful as a LB. The ability to fly sideline-to-sideline, plug up running lanes, sniff out read option plays, and bring passion on tackles showed up consistently. What was also a huge benefactor was the pass coverage ability that Roney has developed as a LB. I think Roney has enough speed to fill in as a slot CB for this team. This is a hard-nose football player that shows hustle and heart.

[player_tooltip player_id='1273592' first='Levi' last='Kulik'] is the senior QB for Webster-Thomas High School, and his season started off with a bang when on the first play from scrimmage he was able to show off his athletic ability. Kulik was able to scramble for 70-yards while out sprinting multiple defenders on his way into the endzone. The moves that Kulik is able to put on defenders in the open field is special to see and always allows himself to extend plays. When it came to Kulik's pure passing ability, I was impressed by the work he was able to do outside the pocket. Making throws on the run and off balance really separated Kulik on tape. Plenty of times Kulik was able to hit his receiver in stride with accuracy and power. The arm strength to push the ball down the field showed at a consistent rate. The confidence to stand in the pocket and make throws out by the boundary and trusting his passing progressions have improved. Kulik certainly is not a stranger to show what he can do with the natural talent that he has.

[player_tooltip player_id='1624540' first='Frankie' last='Burgess'] is a very sound and efficient defensive lineman for Aquinas Institute. The lift, power, and speed that Burgess has at the POA was impressive to see coming off the snap of the ball. Being able to provide a push in the interior of the line to affect the run or pass showed at a high rate. One play that was very important in Burgess tape that showed his hustle, and determination was the first play. Burgess was able to pick up a loose fumble way behind the LOS and return it for a big gain. One of Burgess best assets is his fast hands when facing opposing linemen because it allows him to rip and pull by them so quickly to make a tackle behind the LOS. Burges did take a lot of his snaps out of the 2 technique, but he is flexible enough to play out on the edge.
