SOUTH DAKOTA-- There were several South Dakota 2026 stockrisers that we will mention over the coming days, but I really like the upside of this Part II group. The position flexibility is also very appealing for them at the next-level. From 6'4 linebackers, very long wide receivers from West River, athletes that excel on all three levels, and a prospect you might need to make a trip to Cougars Country to get the full eval we unleash Part II.

The linebacker position is at a great value in this 2026 South Dakota class and although Luke moved to our LB2, the position's value still made him a rankings riser in this group. Luke shows to me the strength in the hands that could see some position flexiblity to defensive end at the next level as too, you cannot ignore the 6'4 200 pound frame that adds to that theory. He plays with the motor I like our linebackers to have as uncorks plenty of fast instincts on his release to the ball carrier off his blocks. Luke certainly gets a NCAA grade and would be a good fit at the FCS or Division II leve in the coming yearsl. Twitter

We made it clear in our first batch of Part I stockrisers that attending our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine is beneficial, especially to underclassmen looking for their first and significant exposure which is sure the case with Wall wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='929927' first='Dawson' last='Handcock']. This kid's change of direction once he reaches the second level to cut on his route shows off great elusiveness which for his 6'2 160 pound frame has more deepth than you would exect for a 2026 wide-out. Dawson has length than I believe goes further than his size as I would like to get a measurable on his wingspan from someone. Jackson also shows off some great balance with his footwork and one I can grasped has notched up his speed since our Spring showcase in Sioux Falls. What is even better? I still believe Dawson has some of the highest upside in the group we will talk about tonight as he still has some frame to grow and could be one that splashes at camp this summer.

Jesiah since I started scouting him over a year ago, is a 2026 athlete that constantly plays with a chip on his shoulder. If you watch the tape, this young man grades well on all three levels but his next-level damage applies to me at running back. He has certainly developed his agility nicely since our Spring showcase in Sioux Falls and I believe for Jesiah to take that next step is developing his balance with those bouncy hips. He also pops out on tape at linebacker as one that with his vision and suddenness pops downhill to the ball with twitch and physicality on contact. The standout from the Warner Monarchs is another 2026 prospect that has a great shot as a scholarship-level athlete. Twitter

Talk about a young man that has really risen as a rankings riser in this 2026 class, as we meet Sturgis Brown running back [player_tooltip player_id='848982' first='Sully' last='Jost'] who is up if I recall 30-40 spots from our last 2026 update. Sully is a firecracker in the Scoopers backfield and has excellent vision that he utilzes early on the first level and it sets a steady tone for the rest of his runs. The vision also is huge for me when evaluating running backs especially ones that excel like Sully does in very tight windows and I love his suddenness using his burst which shows another gear of speed when he sees the open field. I also love this young man's durability after contact as the 5'10 180 pound West River tailback is having a mosnter season thus far and yet again, another that spent his Spring with us at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine. Twitter

The tape hasn't popped onto my radar yet this season, but being a constant follower of South Dakota sports media I have quickly learned Brady has started to make his waves into midseason, as Brady is up five spots from our last 2026 update. Amongst quarterbacks in this class, Brady looks like one that has the highest upside in that position group as Brady is QB prospect that I feel the live eval does more justice than the tape he has put on as this kid has great mechanics and I feel a quicker release from what the live eval showed off. The tape surely needs to come out very soon as I believe this kid should get on more college radars sooner than later and they might need a trip to Viborg-Hurley to see his skillsets full circle. Twitter

The 6'3 190 pounder from Lennox is a 2026 athlete that almost every week has moved up my 2026 recruiting board with how athletic he is for his size on both sides of the ball. He certainly checks my boxes at safety at the next-level as his downhill run stopping ability has a quick trigger and shows off sound position angles. In the backfield, Tate is not one you want give the open field to as his elusiveness has been fun to watch on tape especially getting out of the first level of the field. He certainly in my eyes has a great shot at the next-level especially at strong safety but the position flexiblity certainly is out there for college coaches to evaluate his best position fit. Twitter
