Fox is a running quarterback who projects to tailback; he has grown and added muscle to his frame since his freshman season. Fox is a physical runner who runs his feet on contact, maintains good balance in space and frequently requires multiple tackers to bring him down. Finishes forward on contact. Class of 2028 recruit has the chance to be a big-time tailback.

Tavien Fox Tavien Fox 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Cardinal Ritter | 2028 State IN picked up his first offer from Ohio this week and he is a Class of 2028 prospect for Indianapolis Ritter to keep an eye on in the Hoosier State. Fox has great balance, burst, and speed. He threw for 709 yards and seven touchdowns last season and added 659 yards and 9 touchdowns in the running game. I think Fox’s fit in college is at tailback, where his balance and burst will be put to good use.

Fox is a dynamic playmaker who just needs the ball in his hands. He played QB last fall, but I believe mainly because they just want the ball in his hands as much as possible, because good things happen when he can create. He’s got a second gear that is hard to catch. He’s able to change direction, make big cuts, and juke lanes while not losing speed. He’s willing to be patient at the line and let the blocks develop. He seems to have a good natural feel for the backfield and strikes me as a guy whose best ball is yet to come. His 1376 total yards and 16 TDs were likely just the beginning of what he’s going to do on football fields.

Fox is an explosive back who is quickly turning heads and has a very bright future. He’s quick, can make cuts on a dime, and has good vision which leads him to open spaces. He wasn’t the lead guy this year but forced their hands and got on the field quite a bit. He got 166 carries for 604 yards and 6 TDs on the year. There are times he can hesitate but once he cleans that up and trusts his feet, he’ll blowup.

Fox is a player the coaching staff at Ritter is excited about. He is a rising sophomore with great top-end speed, vision, and explosiveness to be a legitimate Division I prospect at the next level.

Fox is going to become a popular name in the state much sooner than later. As productive as he already is, as dynamic as he is, and as versatile as he is, he won’t be hidden for long. He’s a home run threat when he touches the ball and the staff is doing a good job feeding him touches. While he’s capable of the big play, trusting his blocks and letting them develop in the trenches will help him become more consistent in those runs. With 76 attempts on the year, he’s got 265 yards and 3 TDs with 5 catches for 65 yards and another TD through the air.
