[player_tooltip player_id='1672716' first='Ezekiel' last='Hester'] has a chance to be one of the top Class of 2029 prospects in the state, and this fall he will get his chance to shine as the likely starter on a Decatur Central squad that is fresh after losing so many players to graduation. Hester has a cannon for an arm. He hits receivers in stride on the deep ball, throws the touch pass with excellent accuracy, and can drop it in the bucket downfield. Good release and trigger, can roll out and throw on the run. Needs to develop consistency, but his upside is through the roof. Purdue and UConn have extended early offers.

A kid who jumped out in my travels all day long was [player_tooltip player_id='2252764' first='Bryson' last='Hunter']. I loved Hunter's tenacity, pursuit, range and instincts especially on defense where all indications are that he will start this season. Hunter is a hitter who can quickly close on the ball, be very disruptive with his use-of-hands, and is quick to come out of a backpedal and make contact. Had a couple of pass breakups as well as an interception, displays great ball skills. Undersized, but love his effort and hustle.

Power 4 teams should take note of Bam McCullough, who is developing at a rapid pace. Long-limbed Class of 2028 linebacker who is very good in pursuit, takes great angles to the ball and wraps up. McCullough can stay flat across the LOS and has good backside pursuit. Flows to the ball, very instinctive, high motor, and has good range.

I saw Cardinal Ritter running back [player_tooltip player_id='1476778' first='Tavien' last='Fox'] two years ago as a freshman, and ever since that time, he has grown tremendously and is on the upswing especially in terms of developing and growing into his frame. Fox proved he can be a dual threat who possesses good hands. He can create on his own as a route runner, adjust to the ball midair, and won contested catches during the 7-on-7 period. Fox has some good second-level wiggle and good burst through the hole. He is coming off a strong season where he had 1,376 total yards. He holds early offers from Oho and Miami-Ohio.
