DE [player_tooltip player_id='1616163' first='Makai' last='Henriquez'] – Porter Ridge – Freshman With 3 Sacks & 9 Tackles In Victory - The 6'3 195 pound freshman is having a big impact on the Pirates success so far this season. I spoke with him recently to talk about his impressive start to the season.

DL [player_tooltip player_id='287358' first='Bryce' last='Lee'] – Independence – 2.5 Sacks & 4 Tackles For Loss In Victory - The Richmond Spiders commit has been strong all season across all positions on the defensive line for the Patriots. Bryce uses his hands well to disengage from blocks of offensive linemen and get penetration in the backfield on a consistent basis.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1608319' first='Max' last='Davis'] – Burns – 11 Tackles, Sack, 48 Yards Rushing, 2 Touchdowns In Victory - Max has consistently been a big contributor on both sides of the football for Burns all season long. I like his combination of speed and physicality to help set the tone on both sides of the football.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='1128511' first='Elijah' last='Barber'] – Myers Park – Fumble Return For Touchdown & INT vs. Richmond County - The Catawba College commit continues to make an impact for the Mustangs game in and game out. Elijah is really having a strong senior season so far as a lockdown cornerback.

ATH Ryan Dodson – SE Alamance – Rec TD, 8 Total Tackles, 1.5 Sacks In Victory - Ryan does a little bit of everything for his undefeated football team. At 6'3 and 215 pounds, he has some good size as a defensive end who can push the pocket and generate pressure well. Ryan has a 4.3 GPA and also plays tight end and long snaps. Great intangibles to possibly play college football on the next level.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1545374' first='Major' last='Leak'] – Lake Norman Charter – 2 REC TDs, 2 INT's Including Pick 6 In Win - Major has been one of his team's best players for the last couple of years. At 6'0 and 185 pounds, Major shows some strong hands and excellent ball skills on both sides of the ball. Major did a good job of baiting the quarterback on his interceptions, and showed some excellent open-field speed on his Pick 6 return.

ATH Rodney Smith – Forest Hills – 2 Interceptions Including Pick 6 & Rushing TD in Win - At 5'11 and 195 pounds, Rodney does an excellent job in zone coverage from his outside linebacker position,.showing good discipline and intelligence. His two interceptions he caught the ball well with his hands, not letting it get into his pads. His Pick 6 runback, Rodney showed his running back skills with good speed and agility in the open field. I like his physical running style with the football in his hands as a running back also.

LB Noah Klum – South Iredell – 18 Tackles & 2 Tackles For Loss In Victory - The 6'2 215-pound middle linebacker has been a defensive leader for South the last couple of years. He is a tough player that can slow down the interior running game on his own. He was named an All-Conference player last season, and it appears he is on his way to another superlative season for the Vikings.

LB Iziah Davis – Montgomery Central – 4 Sacks In Victory + 9 Tackles - At 6'3 and 190 pounds, Iziah comes off the edge with good speed to repeatedly get in the backfield on passing situations. His frame will allow him to generate recruiting interest from college coaches who believe his best football is in front of him.
