Linebackers hold down the top two spots in the latest 2022 rankings. Powers and CJ Hicks CJ Hicks 6'4" | 220 lbs | LB Archbishop Alter | 2022 State OH are the cream of the crop at this point, and both are very athletic. The slight edge went to Powers due to his versatility in playing linebacker, running back, and wing back. Powers possesses speed, quickness, and toughness both offensively and defensively. Like the number two player in the rankings, Hicks, Powers is committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Kaden Saunders Kaden Saunders 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR Westerville South | 2022 State OH 5’10” 180 WR Westerville South
Saunders ranks as the number one wide receiver in his class and the third best player in the state. He has explosive speed and great hands. Saunders is versatile enough to play an inside or outside receiver at the next level and displays the ability to score every time he gets his hands on the football. Kaden is committed to play for Penn State University.

The offensive line position is the strongest position in the state for 2022 in terms of depth. Big Blake leads the pack and comes in at the number four overall spot in terms of ranking. Miller, a Clemson commit, dominates all opposition up front by locking his hands into the opposing defensive linemen’s frame and powering him off the line of scrimmage. Miller shows his athleticism and mobility by picking up defenders in space.

Brown is the state’s number five player and the best defensive back in Ohio. As a corner, Brown can play press, off-man, or zone coverage and be equally effective. He can flip his hips and transition instantly. Brown is a physical tackler who closes quickly on the ball and drive his legs on contact. He is also a gifted punt returner as well as a talented defensive back. Brown will join Powers and Hicks at Ohio State after graduation.

Harrison holds on to the number one quarterback position and the number eight overall in our latest rankings.
