August Rankings Release: 2028 Running Backs

We have officially released the rankings for the class of 2028 in the state of Arkansas. In this article, we will showcase the 2028 running backs with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position, including other segments. Welcome to High School.     [player_tooltip player_id='1136507' first='Kentz' last='Brown'] is ranked number one in our initial rankings, and for good reason. Brown has been all over the country this summer at camps, 7 on 7's and more. He displays good speed, burst, and athleticism out of the backfield. Good post-snap vision to read first-level defenders and locate the running lane quickly with a strong burst through tackles. With his vision, he can find the cut-back lane, showcasing his good lateral agility and change of direction ability, making defenders miss in space. With his natural balance, strong leg drive, and lateral agility, he can absorb contact, break tackles, and gain extra yards. In the receiving game, he has strong hands and fluid route running. Miles displays good post-snap vision, locating the running lane quickly and then bursting through the hole with good acceleration. He can withstand contact and gain extra yards due to good balance, lower body strength, and leg drive. He's a versatile prospect as he can play multiple positions, including running back, quarterback, and defensive back. Miles is a prospect to watch in 2024. Richey is a north-south runner who attacks downhill with good foot quickness, force, and power. He has a sturdy build, runs with physicality, and demonstrates solid vision post-snap to find the running lane and power through tackles. Solid lateral agility and change of direction ability, allowing himself to make defenders miss and burst to the cutback lane if needed. He displays a strong natural balance and lower body strength and maintains a good pad level, allowing him to absorb contact and gain extra yards. Benton has multiple future stars, and he is one of them. Mitchell ranks out at number four on our board. Mitchell displays solid post-snap vision to read the first-level defenders' flow and locate the hole to burst through. He displays good speed with an impressive burst that allows him to separate from the first level quickly and through the second level with ease. Solid vision with good body control and lateral agility to be a multi-cut back and make defenders miss. His ability to go north and south with good pad level, leg drive, and active feet helps him finish and create yards after contact. He can line out wide or in the slot, dominating in the screen or RPO game showcasing his versatility. He will be a highly recruited prospect once his senior year rolls around. Warren is a speedy running back with good foot quickness and athleticism out of the backfield. He displays solid post-snap vision to locate running lanes and accelerate through the hole. He can make defenders miss with good lateral agility and change of direction ability. Keep an eye on Warren in the future.
