Offensive Newcomers to the Top Fifty Club

To make the top fifty players list in Ohio for the class of 2022 is quite an honor. Players who were barely on the radar or performed admirably at camps or showcases, jumped up considerably from January to now in terms of their rankings. Here is the list of those who were unranked players from the offensive side of the football who rose to a spot in the top fifty. [player_tooltip player_id="126534" first="Claishon" last="Ivory"] 5’10” 175 WR Euclid Ivory jumped up to the twenty-seventh overall player and the third best receiver in the new rankings. Ivory is a true deep threat and especially dangerous to opponents when running deep routes due to his speed and acceleration, showing the ability to pull away from defensive backs. He is also versatile enough to play any of the receiver positions. [player_tooltip player_id="138628" first="Brody" last="Foley"] 6’6” 230 TE Cincinnati Anderson Five tight ends broke into the top fifty and Brad Foley is the fourth best at that position in the state and in the thirtieth top player overall in the new rankings. One has to like the physicality of this guy. He absolutely mauls defensive linemen and linebackers. He can play on or off the ball and is a load to bring down once he has the football in his hands. [player_tooltip player_id="128147" first="Isaiah" last="Myers"] 5’11” 180 WR Colerain Myers is just behind Ivory in holding the fourth best wide receiver spot in the state and is the thirty-fourth best player in the state. He is a precise route runner who can blow by defensive backs with shake and go. His is a tall target who can highpoint the football despite coverage. Myers shows he is a complete player by the way he blocks downfield. [player_tooltip player_id="128150" first="Charles" last="Green"] 6’4” 185 WR Columbus St. Francis DeSales Green grabbed the last wide receiver spot in the top fifty rankings, ending up thirty-eighth overall. Green beats man coverage on a regular basis displaying the talent to turn a corner around with out breaking stride. He is gifted at running outside routes like the post corner, takeoff, and comeback. [player_tooltip player_id="91531" first="Brogan" last="McCaughey"] 6’2” 190 QB Cincinnati St. Xavier It did not take long for McCaughey to break into the top fifty once he led St. Xavier to a state championship. In a strong quarterback class, he is the number six at his position and the fiftieth best overall. He can drop the football on the money or fit it into small windows to get it to his receiver. Brogan is a smart signal caller and makes great decisions on the field.
