Holland had a strong offseason, showcasing his athleticism at multiple camps. He’s huge and very new to the position, not really yet figuring out how to work effectively down the field. However, his upside is tremendous and as he continues to learn the position, his athleticism will pay huge dividends.

Holland’s size immediately stands out on film. He’s grown even since the end of the season and that’s something coaches can’t teach. His numbers don’t tell the whole story as he was often asked to stay in and block, but when he was leaked out, he usually came down with the ball, even in tight coverage. The ball skills will translate and he’ll move up the rankings if we can see him do a bit more after the catch.

I absolutely love Jacob’s size here – when you look at his film, Jacob looks even bigger than 6’5 – it might be because of the level of competition, but his catch radius and wingspan appear to be very long. Jacob was used more as a move/H-Back role last season and showed some soft hands catching the football. I wouldn’t say Jacob is a fast/vertical type of tight end but he can run efficiently in space. As a blocker, Jacob overpowers 2nd level defenders in space. Hopefully he is able to get more targets in the passing game this season.
