I recently attended a media day held at the Dick's Sporting Goods House of Sport located in Fayetteville, NC. The event was hosted by Carolina Recruits and invited several of the top players from the area. I was able to speak with a number of them and find out what makes these players the special talents that they are. In this article, we will focus on some of the offensive standouts in attendance.

Elijiah Oehkle - QB - Trinity Christian - The talented signal caller was in a great mood sharing why he committed to play college football at Wake Forest. Joining a new program, Elijiah is ready to accept the challenge of leading a new team on Friday Nights. At 6'2 and 210 pounds, I expect Elijiah to have a lot of success on Friday Nights this season. Check out our interview below:

[player_tooltip player_id='708427' first='Fonzy' last='Smith'] - WR - Trinity Christian - Fonzy is a Charlotte commit, and came ready to impress on media day. The 6'2 175-pound prospect was focused and gave some good answers about the type of player he is on the field, and spoke with confidence. He will form a great duo with the aforementioned Oehlke at quarterback and the 49ers should be excited about this young man coming into their program. See our interview below:

[player_tooltip player_id='1309079' first='Donovan' last='Johnson'] - OL - Pine Forest - With offers from Duke, East Carolina, Hampton, and Wake Forest, the 6'4 325-pound Class of 2026 prospect was definitely one of the most physically impressive prospects in attendance. Several coaches told me they believe he is the best offensive lineman in the Fayetteville area overall. A quick look at his highlight film definitely supports that notion. I would expect Donovan's recruiting to continue to increase as the season goes along. Take a look at our interview here:

[player_tooltip player_id='1346327' first='Jayson' last='Franklin'] - RB - 71st - With offers from Ole Miss, Georgia State, Connecticut, Buffalo, Harvard, Memphis, Dartmouth, South Carolina, and Tuskegee - this Class of 2026 prospect is already in high demand. At 5'11 and 205 pounds, Jayson spoke humbly about the talents that he brings to the football field. Per his highlight film, Jayson shows excellent quickness and overall speed in the open field. As a running back, he gets in and out of the hole quickly and has great vision. Take a look at our interview below:

[player_tooltip player_id='1200753' first='Andrew' last='Finnerty'] - WR - Lejeune - Andrew recently picked up his first Division 1 offer from Memphis University, and comes off of a season where he had some incredible production. Andrew had 54 catches for 969 yards and 15 touchdowns this past year and boasts a 4.45 second 40-yard dash time on his Twitter profile. At 5'11 and 150 pounds, Andrew most likely projects as a slot wide receiver on the college level. I enjoyed speaking with him, check out our interview here:

[player_tooltip player_id='1084981' first='Karvin' last='Magwood'] - RB - New Bern - After a stellar freshman season where he rushed for over 1100 yards and 15 touchdowns, the Class of 2027 prospect gave a ton of credit to his teammates for the success he had during our interview. At 5'9 and 170 pounds, Karvin also shared with me that he has major goals to break school records in his high school career. I was really impressed with Karvin's overall character during our interview. It is a little early for him from a recruiting perspective, but I am sure colleges have him on their radar for the future. Check out our interview below:

Jonathan Williams - ATH - Havelock - The East Carolina commit shared with me that he is a team player - he played quarterback for his team in the past, but he is a natural wide receiver as his best position on the field. Naturally, someone with that physical ability is an incredible athletic talent - Williams both rushed and passed for over 1,000 yards each last season. As an overall player, I love his speed/vision combination - Williams is able to see the field well, explode into space, and take plays the distance in the open field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1357142' first='RJ' last='Lancaster'] - WR - West Craven - With offers from Maine, North Carolina A&T, and Western Illinois, the 6'1 175-pound Class of 2025 prospect appears to be a recruit on the rise in the eyes of college coaches. Taking a look at his highlight film, RJ has a good ability to explode into full speed off of a cut, displayed on a nice kickoff return for touchdown. He has good long speed on down field routes, and shows off an impressive vertical jump to high-point the football against defensive backs in one on one situations. He spoke confidently about his talents on the field during our interview together.

Cameron Hill - OL - Jacksonville - The Old Dominion University commit stands at 6'3 and 305 pounds, a physically impressive player in person. Cameron spoke with me about being a leader for his offensive line and his team overall. He also shared that playing at Jacksonville is a great experience for him. Taking a look at his highlight film, Cameron does a great job at the Center position with snapping and getting his hands on nose tackles directly over him. Cameron is a strong prospect and doesn't allow upfield penetration in the run game. Cameron also does an excellent job working in tandem with his guards up to the 2nd level, and shows great footwork and agility in cutting off linebackers in the run game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1169843' first='Lebron' last='Sharpe'] - RB - Havelock - With offers from James Madison, Army, and Air Force, the Class of 2025 prospect is showing growing interest - as all of those offers came within the last couple of months. At 5'9 and 185 pounds, Lebron boast a 10.7 100 meter dash time and a 3.59 GPA on his Twitter profile. Per his highlight film, Lebron shows some excellent vision in the inside run game. I am impressed with his ability to find open space, get to it with great acceleration, and he simply does not get caught in the open field with great speed. I would expect more schools to show interest as the season gets started and he has more game film to share.
