5 Breakout Candidates in 2024: Wide Receiver

Across the state, there are likely a few dozen players who go from single-digit receptions last year to elite playmakers. So while it's difficult,. we've tried to narrow our list of breakout candidates down to five. Who knows? A strong camp season landed him his first offer from Carleton in Minnesota but teams in the southeast should discover him soon. Sifford can flat out fly and I expect him to run a more full route tree in 2024. He's a smooth route runner who flashes the suddenness and burst that all the elite separators have. He creates space well and has solid hands. The next step is to continue working on his body control as he shields defenders from passes. A multi-sport athlete, Saunders is excellent in both the long jump and 200 meters and those skills translate to the field. He flashed last year, both in the slot and on the outside, but this year should take over as a full-time starter and will have plenty of opportunities to become a consistent weapon for a Patriot team that looks like it could make some noise in 2024.
