La Serna two-way star Kaimana Tufaga Kaimana Tufaga 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH La Serna | 2025 State CA announced his commitment to San Diego State on September 22.
Tufaga leads La Serna in receiving with 469 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, he leads the team with 66 tackles and two interceptions.
He also had offers from Sacramento State, Cal Poly, Nevada and Northern Arizona. Tufaga is the 16th player from California in San Diego State’s 2025 recruiting class.

Impact player in all three phases for La Sena. The Hawaii native plays aggressively and is instinctual with his movement. Possesses a wide skillset that can transition to multiple positions at the college level depending on development. Strong and well-built frame at 6’1” 195 lbs. Good speed, he’s got burst in the short area and a sustained second gear to stay in phase at all three levels on defense. Great ball skills on both sides, he’s a strong hands catcher and shows he can track it in flight and time out his jump. Love his field awareness and route recognition as a cover guy. Plays hard and initiates contact with good thump at the POA. Four D1 offers on the table for him but should see his recruiting stock on the rise to pick up some P4 attention.
