of New Berlin West. The offensive side of the ball is where I’m most impressed by Zach when I watch through the tape. He is already such a smooth athlete with that elite 6’3″ 180 lbs frame. Zach offers a huge catch radius with his wingspan, ability to catch the ball away from his body, and leaping ability to go up and get the ball. Zach’s ability to find and adjust to the ball in flight is another major strength as his positioning at the catch point to box out DBs. I have a feeling we see the big target take another step towards being one of the top mismatches in the state with his size, ball skills, and smooth athleticism.

I wasn’t expecting to use a sophomore in this category when building the perfect WR recruit, but Hewitt’s ability to track and adjust to the ball is already some of the best in the state. It is throughout his highlights. The ability to twist midair, cut the route short, cross the DBs face to get the better leverage on a jump ball. Over and over the 2027 shows that he is able to so quickly judge the flight of the ball and position himself so that he can have the best chance at going and getting the football. When the ball is in the air we need our Perfect WR Recruit to be able to do what Zach does.

We are big fans of Zach’s and he showed why there should be a lot of people interested in him with his performance at the Showcase. As a sophomore, Hewitt already looks the part of a go-to WR. 6’3″ 178 lbs, 6’4″ wingspan, massive 11″ hands, 4.81 40 speed, and elite 6.93 L-Drill. The big WR not only has size, but elite short area agility and body control. Pair those together and you get a serious mismatch problem. Zach has the strong frame to be able to muscle his way off the line if needed. He attacks the ball at the high point with those massive, strong hands. Plus he looked like he is getting very comfortable as a route runner in the reps that I saw. Zach is becoming a special WR talent. Get him on your radars.
