PRZIA Summer Risers – Five Prospects to Boosting Their Stocks

Players attend camps, junior days, 7v7s, showcases, etc. as they build their recruiting profile and take steps to develop as players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are four prospects I've seen or evaluated this summer that I believe have done a good job boosting their stocks and could make a statement in 2024.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" /> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1279737' first='Louden' last='Huisenga'] | 2025 | ATH | Waco | 6'3" 190 lbs</strong></em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em><a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14199317/Louden-Huisenga" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hudl</a> | <a href="https://x.com/Lhuisenga8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Twitter</a></em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A small-town name to keep a close eye on is WACO's [player_tooltip player_id='1279737' first='Louden' last='Huisenga'], who emerged as one of the top athletes coming out of the 8-man ranks. Louden is an extremely versatile player who has proven to be a playmaker in all three facets of the game. Huisenga ended his junior year with an impressive 54 tackles, 11 TFLs, a sack, 3 interceptions (one returned for TD), 2 fumble recoveries, 785 rushing yards, 203 receiving yards, 11 rushing touchdowns, 5 receiving touchdowns, and a KO return for a touchdown. Huisenga was a menace on defense using his lengthy, athletic frame to fill a fluid role where he can make splash plays in the backfield but can also transition into coverage seamlessly. Offensively, Louden is a weapon no matter where you put line him up whether that be in the backfield or at receiver. Huisenga runs great routes and shows the IQ to find open spots in coverage and can even create separation for himself. Lengthy reach gives him a massive catch radius so you just have to toss it up to him. Great concentration through the catch. This is great momentum for Chase as he gears up to take over the QB1 role in the fall. Smith showed a lot of promise in a back up role as a junior in which he threw for 306 yards (29/48), 5 passing touchdowns to only one interception, and posted a 114 QBR. He displayed a solid arm and good placement on his passes. What really stood out about Chase was his mobility and ability to evade the pass rush. He can extend plays with his legs by rolling out and keeping his eyes downfield going through his progressions. Smith also added 109 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. The more you watch Chase's tape, the more you realize that he is just a flat-out gamer. He did a lot for the Lancers including returning kicks, kicking, punting, and even a little defense. He will surely step into a bigger role in addition to being Carroll's starting kicker. I had the opportunity to watch Kieran in action at a 7v7 tournament during the spring and thought he did very well on offense and defense. Defensively, Kieran is a smart player who can read and analyze plays quickly before breaking on the ball. He has good linebacker size at 6'1" and 190 lbs, with plenty of room to continue filling out his frame. Kieran also flashed a lot of upside as a pass catcher with strong hands that allow him to make tough receptions through contact. He is physical and can move defenders off of him when they try to press or when going up to battle for the ball. Kieran, and twin brother Quinten, should be some names to watch out for on the Tigers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1221954' first='Cael' last='Roberts'] | 2026 | OL | Southeast Polk | 6'4" 300 lbs</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em><a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/17765306/Cael-Roberts" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hudl</a> | <a href="https://x.com/cael_roberts" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Twitter</a></em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The SEP Rams have built a monster in recent seasons, as evidenced by their dominant championship three-peat, and one of the reasons they've been so good is their toughness on the line. Incoming junior [player_tooltip player_id='1221954' first='Cael' last='Roberts'] is a player who we believe could take a big leap in 2024 and help keep the train rolling in the trenches. Right out the gate, you notice that Cael has the size and frame that projects well to the next level, standing at 6'4" and 300-lbs. Roberts was a standout at our spring Combine Seres showcase where he was named to the All-Camp team. Cael displayed a strong base for when he needs to anchor down to stonewall defenders. He's quick to work his hands inside to gain leverage with the power to bench press defenders off of him.
