As we head into the end of June, the start of the 2024 high school football season is coming closer and closer. With that being said, I wanted to take some time to focus on some players at each position that I am expecting a breakout year from this season. These players include those stepping into bigger roles as well as those I'm simply expecting to see a rise in production from. After already covering the offensive skill players, here are some offensive linemen in the state of Kentucky that I expect to take the next step this season!

[player_tooltip player_id='735997' first='Lovell' last='Martin'] is a player who has had a very successful offseason and will be moving in to the starting center position for the Broncos this season. Martin is a dominant run blocker, showing the ability to explode out of his stance and drive his man down the field with ease. He finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. Martin is also reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to keep a strong base and continue to fight with his hands to gain inside position. Lovell currently holds offers from Ball State, UT Martin, Marshall, and Hanover, and I expect more to come his way as he is a true Division I caliber offensive line prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1311426' first='Paul' last='McClure'] is another upcoming senior offensive lineman who has had a strong offseason. McClure lines up at left tackle where he is a very impressive run blocker. He does a great job of exploding out of his stance and creating movement off the line of scrimmage. McClure finishes his blocks through the whistle with a ton of physicality. He is also very reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to mirror pass rushers off the edge while keeping a strong base, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. McClure currently holds offers from Furman and Kentucky, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the Division I level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1311425' first='Josh' last='Stanfield'] is an offensive lineman who caught my attention when evaluating junior year film. He has shown the versatility to play both guard and tackle but mainly lines up at guard. Stanfield is a true mauler in the run game, showing the ability to drive his man down the field and out of the picture. He also does a good job of getting to the second level quickly and picking up blocks in the open field. Stanfield is also reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to keep a strong base and not allow much penetration into the pocket. Josh doesn't currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and should definitely be a player to watch heading into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='971528' first='George' last='Luckett'] is a player who has been on my radar for a while now and has started to truly make a name for himself this offseason. Luckett lines up at tackle where he is very impressive in the run game. He does a great job of driving his man down the field and finishing his blocks through the whistle, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. George is also reliable in pass protection, showing the footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers along with the strength to keep them from getting into the pocket. Luckett currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect.

The final offensive lineman in the state of Kentucky that I expect to have a breakout season this year is [player_tooltip player_id='1312498' first='Noah' last='Winsley']. Winsley has impressive versatility, showing the ability to play both tackle and guard. He is very reliable in the run game, showing the ability to create movement off the line of scrimmage with ease. Winsley has also shown the ability to pull and pick up blocks in the open field as a lead blocker. He is also reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge when lining up at tackle. Noah currently holds offers from Kent State and Miami (OH), and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber offensive line prospect.
