I have made it priority number 1 this offseason to cover as many new prospects in Georgia as possible. I've already made one scan through the state, but now, it's time to go back again and bring more players to the table. We will start back at the QB spot.

Kaeden Gilstrap has some big shoes to fill at Walton, but regardless, I think he's a good QB in his own right. Gilstrap comes in at 6'2 185 and is a three-sport athlete. He has yet to start for Walton, but he added a D1 offer from Walton this month. Gilstrap isn't a burner, but he is a solid athlete that can create when the play breaks down. He also operates with brilliant poise and balance, staying on his feet as he dances around pressure. His arm strength is requisite for the D1 level, but it's his off-platform throwing skills and quick release that stand out the most as a passer. He gets on top of the ball when he throws, allowing him to mix up velocities and get the nose to turn over on the deep ball. Gilstrap is a prime breakout candidate this fall.

Ronnie Frere is a well-sequenced QB prospect with the ability to distribute the ball all over the field. He is a good enough athlete to scamper for yards when the play breaks down, but he does most of his damage within the pocket. He plays with a good base and plays on time, synching his feet, arm, and eyes together. When on, he makes quick reads and gets the ball to his landmarks. He has a longer throwing motion, but his arm action is fluid enough to throw from different slots and mix up trajectories on the ball. Frere is underrated, but there are several small schools that should give him a long look before passing.

Brock Szakacs is still an under the radar QB, and he is fresh on my radar. He is listed at 6'1 195, but has a commanding force in the pocket that makes him appear bigger. His ability to work his progression back over the MOF and to his check down sets up the rest of his game. His vision and arm talent give him access to the entire field. His throwing mechanics are elite, throwing with a clean base and fluid arm action. He can rear back and throw the ball a mile while also toning it down and taking underneath opportunities. He isn't much of a runner, but he has some bounce in his feet and is fluid in the hips, allowing him to subtly dance around in the pocket and create enough space to get a throw off. Szakacs looks like a D1 QB prospect that might end up balling at a sub-D1 level.

Gavin Markey has some FCS offers under his belt, but his arm strength is on par with any QB I've evaluated in GA's 2025 class. He is a powerful 6'2 225. He is a good athlete, building up horsepower when out on the run and taking the yards available. He doesn't do it often on tape, but if he drops his shoulder at the ends of his run, he should be able to run over any DB in front of him. Markey is raw as a passer, but he can let the ball fly. He frequently bombs the ball 50 yards downfield. He also has the drive in his throws to force it downfield while on the move. "Power" is the best word to describe Markey. When you see his frame and the life on his ball, that's the only word that should be used to describe him.

Marte Barton is a tall, athletic QB prospect with untapped physical upside. He is raw and moves like a baby deer, but is still a deer. Once he gets his feet under him, his frame does the rest, allowing him to get downhill as a runner with his long strides. He has natural arm talent, firing the ball all over the yard. He keeps his eyes up and surveys the field well from the pocket, flipping from one WR to another. He puts solid touch on the deep ball, dropping the ball on a dime and getting it to turn over the top. Barton can sling the ball around the yard and has some solid athleticism. Now, he just has to harness those traits. First, he needs a chance at the next level. There should be some smaller schools willing to bank on his upside.
