The Jump: 91 Spots
Blake has been a later addition to the rankings. I believe he debuted during the 2024 preseason update. He is rather new to football which has a lot of people intrigued. Including the staff at Idaho. This year, the senior played all along the OL for Middleton and looked the part of an experienced veteran. Blake looked his best when playing on the interior of the OL, especially at center. When watching his tape at center you see an athlete who can quickly set and anchor against nose guards and has the power to maintain the point of the pocket. Blake also has the range to get out in space, up to the second level, or pull and lead. We also see the awareness to find where help is needed when he is uncovered. Blake is developing quickly into a top lineman and has a lot of potential room for growth in front of him.

In just his third year playing football, the 6’4″ 270 lbs center is looking like a natural. Against a very talented Bay Port defense, Blake stepped up and put out a great week of tape. The senior plays with a wide, stout base. The hands are active and constantly resetting to maintain good positioning on his man. Blake did a great job of taking on a nose guard, getting off a quick snap and instantly engaging. The anchor strength is apparent in pass protection, giving his QB a safe pocket to step up into. The lateral movement to mirror DTs/NGs stands out on tape too. Don’t miss out on this dude along the interior. He is off to a great start this season.

Middleton has been pumping out impressive OL prospects over the past few years, and the next potential one just hit my radar during the Mega Camp in River Falls. Blake is a 6’4″ 260 lbs lineman with a future on the interior of the OL at the next level. I was able to catch some reps of his in the 1 on 1s. Blake plays with a great base. He can set a strong anchor against kids that tried to bully him off the line and stand them up. The ’25 can also slide laterally and change direction with DL that try to use more speed and pass rush moves. His technique was consistent and clean rep to rep. This is only his third year of football, so there is a ton of potential to tap into. Get this kid on your radars, and keep a close eye on his this fall. I think we are looking at a real steal of a prospect.
