Statically speaking, Johnny Klebaur Johnny Klebaur 5'11" | 188 lbs | LB Ocean City | 2028 State NJ appears to have been a rotational player as a sophomore – and is now looking to thrive in a bigger role. Klebaur is an exceptional wrapper when tackling and plays strong, gap control defense. We see him often get his gap-arm free in the hole, making tackles with it as he gets hands on and presses to extend and create space to destroy his block. Johnny Hustle might be a good nickname for him, as he runs and pursues to the ball well. A bit of versatility is a part of Klebaur’s game too. We see him playing both off the edge and at linebacker. As a hard-nosed player, Klebaur will benefit from looser hips and getting down hill quicker in run support.

I had heard about Klebaur around Thanksgiving of this year but wasn’t able to find any legitimate film or anything until recently, while searching again–and I’m glad I did. My gut tells me he’s going to end up as a Linebacker as he moves onto Ocean City High School in the fall, but he did a bit of everything this year. On film, he can be seen dishing out bone-jarring blocks I could feel through the screen as a Fullback; He made some nice grabs as a Tight End to keep chains moving; Had more than a few long runs to paydirt as a Running Back; Then, as my gut says, he played both Outside and Inside Linebacker, making a top of bit sticks.
