Summer travels for college camps and visits have already ramped up heavily to open this month with a flurry of commitments and other recruiting news expected to follow throughout June, July and August.

Fewer than 20 rising seniors around Louisiana have announced their college commitments thus far, though many more plan to do so prior to their final high school season.

Here's a look at the state's top prospects with college choices already made — although a few could still be in flux as other programs continue to push for potential flips.

[player_tooltip player_id='291097' first='Harlem' last='Berry'] — 5-11, 185 RB — St. Martin's Episcopal —> LSU

Louisiana's top-ranked prospect is one of the faces of a strong foundation to the home-state Tigers' class. Berry announced his commitment this winter and has been firmly locked in ever since — including teaming up with and putting on a show with future teammates, including star Belleville, Mich., quarterback Bryce Underwood, for a recent OT7 tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='710073' first='James' last='Simon'] — 6-0, 200 RB — Calvary Baptist —> Texas

Once considered likely to join Berry in the Tigers' 2025 class, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian and company maintained a steady presence throughout Simon's recruiting process and garnered his commitment in late May in a major Louisiana recruiting victory for the Longhorns over LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M and Notre Dame.

[player_tooltip player_id='710071' first='Jaboree' last='Antoine'] — 6-2, 180 DB — Westgate —> LSU

Another winter commitment for the Tigers and a major win early in Corey Raymond's return to his alma mater as Antoine announced his commitment to LSU over Texas, Alabama and a long list of options. Raymond and company will have to continue to battle Miami, Florida State and others to keep the standout defensive back in-state for college.

[player_tooltip player_id='144905' first='Keylan' last='Moses'] — 6-2, 215 ATH/LB — University Lab —> LSU

The Cubs' standout announced his commitment in late November and has, in addition to giving the Tigers' class one of Louisiana's top 2025 prospects, been one of the program's most vocal recruiters. Moses has been a versatile defender during his high school career and particularly menacing in his ability to make plays behind the line of scrimmage.

[player_tooltip player_id='426960' first='TaRon' last='Francis'] — 6-1, 190 WR — Edna Karr —> LSU

"ManChild" was among Louisiana's early 2025 commitments with his pledge last October to the home-state Tigers and is the lone receiver pledge in LSU's class heading into the always-hectic summer stretch. The Cougars' standout, with his combination of explosiveness and athleticism with his strong build, should be a great fit with any of the long, speedy targets co-offensive coordinator Cortez Hankton and company have with Francis atop the recruiting board.

[player_tooltip player_id='710075' first='Devin' last='Harper'] — 6-5, 295 OL — Calvary Baptist —> LSU

The top-ranked offensive lineman in the class announced his commitment to the Tigers this winter over a long list of other options. Harper is a tenacious, physical force as a blocker and should have a dominant senior season on deck following his transfer to the Division-III Select state champions where he'll be the highest-profile trench prospect the Cavaliers have had during their recent run of success.

[player_tooltip player_id='710273' first='Corey' last='Amos'] — 6-3, 205 LB — Opelousas —> Ole Miss

The Rebels dipped into Louisiana this spring for their first commitment of the 2025 class, a notable win for the SEC West program in their neighboring state. The long, disruptive edge-rusher, who also takes pride in his ability to drop into space and cover, was a major piece of his Tigers' historic state championship run this past fall and has continued to bolster his recruiting stock with strong camp showings this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='291168' first='John' last='David LaFleur'] — 6-6, 240 TE — Sulphur —> LSU

Another early commitment to the home-state Tigers, the son of former LSU and Dallas Cowboys tight end David LaFleur shared his pledge prior to his junior season. The Sulphur standout is a big, physical athlete who moves well in space and is among the state's most sure-handed pass-catchers and should notably bolster a tight end room in Baton Rouge that has quickly become among the program's strengths.

[player_tooltip player_id='291165' first='Brett' last='Bordelon'] — 6-5, 315 OL — Isidore Newman —> LSU

Bordelon was the state's first commitment 18 months ago when he announced his decision to continue his father and older brother's legacy with the home-state Tigers. The Greenies' big tackle, projected by most as an interior blocker at the next level, has been a mainstay in the class ever since and a cornerstone of an increasingly strong line group headed for Baton Rouge.

[player_tooltip player_id='914208' first='J.T.' last='Lindsey'] — 5-11, 190 RB — Alexandria —> LSU

The Trojans' speedster joined Berry as the Tigers' second running back commitment this April, just days after receiving the offer from the home-state program. He has a track record of 100-meter dash times in the 10.8-second range throughout his high school career that shows when he hits the open field, but has also shown the strength and willingness to power through — and even initiate — contact for tough yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='710074' first='Brody' last='Whatley'] — 6-5, 250 DL — Neville —> Baylor

Neville's next standout defensive lineman, a defensive MVP in his district as a junior, announced his commitment in late April to coach Dave Aranda and Baylor, the first program to extend a scholarship offer more than a year earlier. Whatley is a strong, thickly built defensive end with some good explosiveness into the backfield and in his tackling and another nice recruiting pull from Louisiana for Aranda and company.

[player_tooltip player_id='710270' first='Reshad' last='Sterling'] — 6-3, 235 DL — Lutcher —> Houston

The explosive defensive lineman became a big recruiting win for former Tulane coach Willie Fritz and company this spring with his commitment announcement to Houston. But the Cougars will now have to hold off home-state LSU following a recent offer from the Tigers and strong camp visit to Baton Rouge this past weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1214125' first='Joshua' last='Lewis'] — 6-5, 240 DL — Dutchtown —> Missouri

The Griffins' long, quick defensive end was another of Louisiana's major stock-risers and notable college commitments this spring with his strong camp showings and late-April pledge to the Tigers. He should also be a key playmaker this fall for a Dutchtown squad eager to build off the program's first-ever semifinal trip with a team that expects to be strong once again despite having to replace some graduated key pieces.

[player_tooltip player_id='291089' first='Jackson' last='Bradley'] — 6-3, 200 QB — Oak Grove —> Louisiana Tech

The son of former Bulldogs tight end Josh Bradley announced his commitment to the nearby program in November during his and his Tigers' run to a second straight state championship. Particularly on the biggest stages thus far, the younger Bradley has shown his athleticism as a leader in Oak Grove's dominant rushing attack, but also some flashes of his potentially underrated ability as a passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='914014' first='Eli' last='Friend'] — 6-1, 195 QB — Isidore Newman —> Princeton

The Greenies' leader announced his commitment this week to Princeton. Friend was exceptional this past fall not only in his physical talent to make plays with both his arm and his legs, but to handle the dynamic of following Arch Manning's big shoes and spotlight and help keep the program among the top contenders in its classification and division.

[player_tooltip player_id='144900' first='Kaleb' last='Tucker'] — 6-2, 185 WR — Calvary Baptist —> Texas Southern

The Cavaliers' tall target, who transferred this winter from Huntington, announced his commitment last month to Texas Southern. Tucker should have the opportunity this fall to be a major difference-maker for a Calvary Baptist program confident in its title-repeat potential and continued passing success despite having graduated several receivers from this past fall's roster.

[player_tooltip player_id='144896' first='Julius' last='Moss'] — 5-9, 185 ATH — Calvary Baptist —> UAB

The Cavaliers' two-way standout announced his commitment in November to the Blazers as a running back. And UAB has thus far maintained that pledge despite continued interest from Louisiana Tech, Tulane, UTSA and others, including a recent Air Force offer.

[player_tooltip player_id='710286' first='Trenton' last='Chaney'] — 5-9, 160 WR/ATH — Lutcher —> Louisiana (Lafayette)

The Bulldogs' speedster picked up an offer from the Ragin' Cajuns on June 1 after a strong camp showing — one of a trio of talented in-state receivers who earned offers that day — and wasted no time announcing his commitment the next day and securing his spot to potential follow former Lutcher star D'Wanye' Winfield's path to Lafayette.
