Continue ReadingAn unranked soon-to-be senior out of Avon Old Farms, surprised we don’t have him on our lists, yet makes sense considering he doesn’t have tape on Hudl. Watched him navigate bag drills well, attentive to coaching, looks natural moving laterally as any backer prospect with years under his belt should. Hit 500×5 on Box Squats just over a week ago. Interested in learning who will be stationed beside Owen Moreland Owen Moreland 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Avon Old Farm | 2025 State New E and others. We’ll have Streich on the radar moving forward. Member of the Outdoor club, wrestling team, is a peer tutor too. Sounds like a fantastic young man off the field.

Had the opportunity to see a top-ranked defensive back work under my microscope. 6’1, 185, pure cover corner. Boasts an unverified 4.59 40, a 3,45 GPA. A returning starter who made the AOF pro day look like a breeze, as he should. Participates on the VB Hockey team. Bit surprised the corner is unoffered currently. Many programs are clamoring for bigger DBs, here is one with experience at a prestigious program. 74″ wingspan. Took JDV’s to Holy Cross, Marist, and Fordham University. Hoping he hears back from interested FCS programs.

A new name, happy to see Carter, a freshman DB at Avon Old Farms, have a spot on our Watchlist. In time, he’s going to come off that list and place on our ranks, probably well considering his early skillset. I didn’t get to see Carter work 1v1s, didn’t get to see him operate against the likes of Hnat and/or Andrews, yet this kid navigated drills with a purpose. He caught my eye numerous times, worked his 45-degree cut drills well. 5’11, 165, a long way from seeing substantial time, he still has to carve out a role for himself in this program. Workouts like the one put forth two weeks ago likely go a long way in terms of building trust. A name we will stash.

Rashon Andrews led the wideout group, yet I still came away pleased after watching 2025 Rafferty McSweeney Rafferty McSweeney 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Avon Old Farms Ct. | 2025 State New E work drills at the AOF pro day. Ranked well among current juniors, my colleague Roger Silva hit on his analysis of McSweeney, with the pass-catcher receiving his first FCS offer out of Lehigh University. Recently hit some PRs on the track, those numbers had to help solidify things for Lehigh, other FCS programs too. 3.8 GPA, HS Jon Wholley raves about his upcoming usage in the offense. I could see McSweeney crack our top 100 after his senior season. Is a real candidate for a 1st-Team All-Founders nomination next Fall.
Brunswick School’s Ty Lloyd impressing in a Pro-Day style setting shouldn’t impress many. That doesn’t mean we can’t show the top-ten 2025 wideout some love. A bit overshadowed in this one, Blake Hebert Blake Hebert 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Brunswick School | 2025 State New E was doing his thing, Will Graves Will Graves 6'3" | 175 lbs | WR Brunswick School Ct. | 2025 New E drew warranted attention as he was the unknown coming into the event. Kieran Edwards Kieran Edwards 6'3" | 185 lbs | ATH Brunswick | 2026 State New E and Ethan Long Ethan Long 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB Brunswick School | 2025 State New E drew a ton of deserved eyes their way, yet Ty Lloyd’s skills deserve equal spotlight. 4.6 40, 10’1” hands, a name I’d throw to coaches in need of a wideout who can separate. Surprised Lloyd came away from the event without a scholarship opportunity, this hardly means he’s not on many of the attending college boards, he undoubtedly is. Lloyd is my pick to reap the benefits sowed by a new-look offense with Blake Hebert Blake Hebert 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Brunswick School | 2025 State New E at the helm. Noisette and Graves will surely get their looks, I like Lloyd to be the pass-catcher that makes Hebert the most comfortable.

If my recollection serves me right, I believe Zay Smith Zay Smith 5'8" | 175 lbs | RB Brunswick | 2025 New E was the lone back working out at the Brunswick Pro-Day. I carved out a few minutes to make sure I watched him run through bags. Smith boasted a compact build, solid conditioning too. Per Brunswick, Smith transitioned to running back after primarying as a DB in the past. The coaching brass at BS have high hopes that Smith might’ve taken some tips from former all-conference back Bryce Davis Bryce Davis 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB Brunswick School | 2024 State New E . Likely a five-year Brunswick prospect. Expect Smith to land on our ranks so long as he produces behind this fantastic line.

A prospect who has slipped through our cracks, talking placement on our rankings. Doesn’t have full tape posted on Hudl, yet is likely a name that is landing on more FCS boards up North than we expected. A lot to like, especially after watching him work at the Cheshire Academy Pro-Day. My eyes were on the QBs and skill guys for the most part, yet I spent the early minutes paying close attention to the two prospects leading the linemen pack. Frazier was one of those prospects. 6’3, 226, picked up his first offer out of Howard ten days post camp. Interest is certainly heating up, Frazier can double as an EDGE/TE two-way player, one who boasts a 3.9 GPA. Group of Five ceiling, especially if he puts forth fantastic tape.

Feeling some deja vu here, with my first trip to Cheshire Academy this time last year having myself two twin brothers to evaluate. The Kentucky commits have moved on to the next level, with the Frazier brothers now in their place.
Noah, a 2026, 6’2, 235, 3.8 GPA, track and field participant. Has a Twitter clip of him dunking, impressive at his weight and age. Formerly out of Bishop McLaughling Catholic, played basketball in his past. Noah also doesn’t have seasonal tape on Hudl, tough to rank him currently no matter the hype. He’s a name we will keep our eyes on moving forward.

Awesome to see another Reno suit up for Cheshire Academy. This year, my colleague Roger Silva and I got a chance to watch Vince Reno Vince Reno 6'2" | 205 lbs | ATH Cheshire Academy | 2027 State New E work at linebacker for CA, last year witnessing Dante Reno Dante Reno 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Cheshire Academy | 2024 State New E , who will be leveling up to South Carolina. Vince Reno Vince Reno 6'2" | 205 lbs | ATH Cheshire Academy | 2027 State New E is ranked well, currently places as a PRZNE Top 25 2027 prospect. More than watching Reno work through bags, or working SCF reads (seam/curl/flat) from his backer spot during routes on air, I was interested in seeing what his body looked like as he heads into his sophomore year at CA. Body checks out, a real 205, a real 6’2. Had to remind myself several times that Reno still has two and a half more offseasons of development left to attack. Likely to be a household name for those recruiting New England this time next year.

4.66 40 laser time posted at the Hamden Hall Pro-Day. Was even more impressed during routes on air. Soft hands, reeled in some throws he had no business getting hands on let alone catching. Great physique, great conditioning. Was beside Qeanu Johnson Qeanu Johnson 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Hamden Hall | 2025 State New E , a future FBS prospect, yet Strauser didn’t look too far apart in terms of talent. Apparently a smart kid and a joy to coach. Had a busy April visiting Brown, UNH, and Marist Universities. Ranked relatively well, wouldn’t be shocked to see him rank inside his class’s top 250.
Arguably the biggest winner post-New England Showdays (Day One), in my opinion. Syombathy hasn’t heard back from schools in the form of offers since his performance at Hamden Hall, yet I’d argue he placed himself on 10+ collegiate boards post-workout, considering the amount of schools waiting to speak to him afterwards. Syombathy showed off a chiseled physique, one that wasn’t prevalent this time last year. Ran a 4.6 40 in front of coaches, weighing in at 225. Jumped a 10’6″, boasts a 3.2 GPA. Worked at TE, caught passes during routes on air, spent the next half of the workout working against FBS prospect Valdamir Acosta and winning his fair share of reps. I wouldn’t worry about anything else but putting great tape on Hudl as soon as possible, if I were Syombathy and his camp. Don’t look elsewhere, don’t compare, good things will come so long as he stays on course and continues to turn heads. Currently on our Watchlist, will easily land high on our ranks with a full season under his belt at Hamden Hall.

Eyes were on Kevin Roche Kevin Roche 6'9" | 240 lbs | TE Darien | 2025 State New E and Jackson Davenport Jackson Davenport 6'5" | 260 lbs | OL Darien | 2025 State New E upon arriving at the Darien Pro Day. Along side the massive FBS tackle prospect was Dylan Geddes Dylan Geddes 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Darien | 2025 State New E , who has a high recruiting ceiling in his own right. 80″ wingspan, is a Rugby participant, stands at a verified 6’5, 280. Working beside Davenport helped Geddes stock I imagine, as both were making the ground shake during warm-ups. Geddes is still unoffered which is likely to change so long as he stays on the current course. Geddes visited Stony Brook, Fordham, and Bryant Universities through the month of April, locking in relationships with coaching staffs who are likely to recruit the Dairen product. Junior Day and Spring Game visits were also paid to UMass and Marist earlier this past Spring. I wouldn’t hold my breath too long if I’m Geddes and Family, good things are likely coming his way sooner rather than later.
