Expert Analysis
Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Miranda thrives on his technical technique and aggressiveness. Measures in at 5’7 150-pounds. Last season, he had 36 total tackles (24 solo, 12 assisted), 1 INT, 3 PD, and 1 FF. Miranda’s an athlete with quick twitch ability. Very good athletic ability due to very good speed, change of direction, acceleration, and jumping. Smooth back pedal with a quick torso to match shifty receivers breaking out in space. Very good read and reaction ability. Excels at jamming at the LOS or re-routing. Very good man and zone coverage skills. Very good closing quickness and timing to disrupt the opposing offense’s passing game. Very good body control and adjustment on INTs. Miranda also shows off with his very good tackling and strength. Isn’t afraid of tackling and makes the most of every play. He’s a must watch prospect.

Miranda is a defensive back who is building momentum through a strong offseason, particularly with his performance on the 7v7 circuit. He shows the traits of a lockdown corner, using his speed and technique to stay in phase with receivers and disrupt passing lanes. Miranda is comfortable playing in multiple coverage styles, including tight man coverage or trail technique, where he can break on the football and bat the ball down. Despite not having ideal size, he can compensate with quickness, instincts and competitiveness. Miranda is also willing to contribute in run support, recording 36 total tackles and showing no hesitation when stepping up to make plays. His energy and play style stand out, and with continued exposure through camps, he has the potential to significantly elevate his recruiting profile this offseason making him a stock watch candidate.
