With it being a bit of a quiet time in Pennsylvania high school football, we’re taking a look at the top 2022 prospects in each of Pennsylvania’s 12 districts. To start it off, we start in southeastern Pennsylvania's District I that has 15 players in our 2022 rankings including quite a few running backs. No.13 LB [player_tooltip player_id="87829" first="Khalif" last="Kemp"] - Upper Dublin The top prospect in District I is Upper Dublin linebacker [player_tooltip player_id="87829" first="Khalif" last="Kemp"]. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound linebacker is a legitimate Power Five prospect and has a strong chance at eventually cracking the top-10 in our class rankings. Kemp is an athletic linebacker that shows the ability to both set the edge but also plays a role in the pass defense when needed. A true playmaker with an elite skill set, he has a chance to make a game-changing play whenever he steps on the field. He’s amassed offers already from Bowling Green, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Ole Miss, Temple, and Tennessee. No.61 RB [player_tooltip player_id="27638" first="Harry" last="Adieyefeh"] - Spring-Ford Adieyefeh is the top offensive prospect in District I, the Spring-Ford running back has quality size at 5-foot-10 and 185-pounds. He shows good vision in identifying holes and then hitting those holes. He also shows good speed to get by most defenders as well as the ability to quickly change direction as well. He’s currently being recruited by mostly FCS programs but does have a few FBS schools interested in him. No.67 OL [player_tooltip player_id="27616" first="Stephen" last="Reutlinger"] - Pennridge Reutlinger already has good size and will only continue to grow at 6-foot-3 and 270-pounds but the frame is there for him to get even bigger. On the field, he shows both great upper body and lower body strength, with the ability to throw defenders to the ground easily but also drives them out of the play. What you have to love the most out of the Pennridge product is his ability to finish off his blocks and the tenacity he shows as he’ll block until the whistle. Whatever he may not have physically yet or in his toolset yet, he makes up for in his intensity and energy level on the field. He projects very well to an FCS level offensive lineman. No.73 LB [player_tooltip player_id="94858" first="Darron" last="Miller"] - Chester Miller is an enticing prospect who shows the skillset to be an all-around linebacker at the next level. He shows the ability to read plays very well and fast, often reading the quarterback’s eyes. When he drops into coverage, he’s a threat for an interception anytime the ball is in his vicinity. When it comes to rushing the backfield, he gets around the edge quickly with a good first step and shows sound tackling when wrapping up ball carriers. He appears to have interest from FCS teams as well as Temple. No.80 RB [player_tooltip player_id="27658" first="Cameryn" last="Jackson"] - Upper Moreland A shifty running back, Jackson shows good speed and the ability to shift his direction easily. His speed is good enough to beat most defenders in the first and second level but will need to find another hear to beat defenders in the third level in college. He has quality lower body strength, showing some ability to run through defenders if needed but he’s much more suited to be used in open-field situations. If he can continue developing as a pass-catcher, his role at the next level could very much be as a running back mostly used in the passing game. No.82 RB [player_tooltip player_id="27594" first="Khalani" last="Eaton"] - North Penn North Penn standout [player_tooltip player_id="27594" first="Khalani" last="Eaton"] is our third District I running back on the list as the position is a place of strength for the district overall. Eaton has really nice size for a running back at 5-foot-11 and 210-pounds. He shows quality speed (4.6 forty-time) and also shows a good burst as well. What he doesn’t possess in speed he makes up for with his ability to run through would-be tacklers as he doesn’t mind being physical. He also has shown the ability to be a threat in the receiving game. He’s received mostly Division II interest it appears but has the upside of being an FCS back or better. No.83 QB [player_tooltip player_id="27663" first="Ethan" last="Kohler"] - Perkiomen Valley Our final top-100 player out of District I is quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="27663" first="Ethan" last="Kohler"] out of Perkiomen Valley. Kohler possesses good size at 6-foot-2 and 205-pounds and has shown a great combination of arm strength and accuracy. He completed 61% of his passes in 2020 for 1,451-yards and 16 touchdowns while throwing just one interception. His throws have good velocity on them as well, allowing him to get the ball quickly to his target. He’s all-around a very solid quarterback prospect with a high ceiling. Kohler is also fantastic in the classroom boasting a 4.6 GPA. He’s receiving FCS interest at the moment including from Ivy League schools such as Columbia and Penn.
Other District 1 Class of 2022 Prospects:
We currently have eight additional players ranked in our 2022 rankings out of District I. No.110 TE [player_tooltip player_id="27588" first="Alex" last="Checchia"] - Council Rock South No.128 LB [player_tooltip player_id="27666" first="Anthony" last="Meadows"] - Bayard Rustin No.135 DB [player_tooltip player_id="94864" first="Kalen" last="Frazier"] - Kennett No.149 LB [player_tooltip player_id="95711" first="Ryan" last="Waters"] - Downingtown West No.162 OL [player_tooltip player_id="27672" first="Solomon" last="Ortiz"] - Phoenixville No.207 LB [player_tooltip player_id="27589" first="Brandon" last="Choi"] - Bishop Shanahan No.208 WR [player_tooltip player_id="94817" first="Brian" last="Dickey"] - Methacton No.220 DL [player_tooltip player_id="95779" first="Matthew" last="Hoffman"] - Cheltenham
