had that special spark, and he’s only gotten better since then. He’s grown a bit, and that added strength is helping him zip the ball with a confidence that says he knows exactly what he’s doing. But here’s the kicker: He’s also showing a new level of maturity in how he decides where and when to throw the deep ball. Last year, he already had decent command, but now you can see him using more touch and better setting up his receivers for added yards after the catch. That really shows he’s moving beyond raw talent and stepping into the realm of strategic — almost chess-like — quarterback play. Headed to the United States Merchant Marine Academy, he’s well on his way to turning heads at the college level. I’m excited to see the leaps he’ll make when the lights are really on, because Roman’s got that rare mix of determination, power, and the mental edge you want in your field general.

is having a nice senior year and seems to only be getting better as the season progresses. Through his last two games, he’s averaging 271 yards a quarterback rating of more than 100. With 11 touchdowns to just three interceptions on the season, he’s done an incredible job of keeping the ball out of harm’s way. He packs a lot of punch in his arm and can really zip the ball through tight windows when he needs to. Another prospect on this list who does a great job of extending plays with his legs, Thuyns has nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Having received multiple offers in just this month alone, Thuyns has a chance to make a real impact at the next level.

packs a lot of power in a small package as the quarterback for Willow Canyon. I was able to get eyes on Thuyns at the PrepRedzone Arizona Combine back in late April and was incredibly impressed with what I saw. He’s got incredible twitch and really moves well on the field. When he uses his arm, he delivers very strong throws that have no problem fitting through tight windows. It’s nice to see how much trust he has in his receivers and is always willing to give them a chance. Thuyns fits excellently into Willow Canyon’s offensive scheme and is an exciting player that you don’t want to miss heading into the 2024 season.

was the shortest quarterback at the event at 5’9″, he made up for it with an incredibly solid build and a ton of explosion. Finishing just one hundreth of a second short of the fastest shuttle by a quarterback (4.41), you could see the twitch that Thuyns plays with. He has incredible form when delivering the football and there was a nice zip on his passes. That ability to drive the football had him looking really good when throwing the ball over the middle of the field. There’s no doubt that Thuyns raised his stock competing out there at the combine this past weekend. After averaging over 150 yards a game last season, he’s poised to make a big jump with the work he’s been putting in leading up to the 2024 season.

at the Throw It Deep Arizona camp in the beginning of the offseason, and was blown away with his effortless touch. Throwing on his film, its more of the same. With a really smooth delivery, he has no problem floating the ball over defenders and placing it where only his receivers can get to it. Though he doesn’t seem to struggle with it at this level, I would love to see him release the ball a little higher to avoid the size up front that he’ll see at the next level. The higher release point could also potentially help provide some elbow stability throughout his delivery. Heading into his senior year, Thuyns should see his recruitment heat up!
