With that being said, I wanted to highlight some players at each position that deserve and are still seeking their first college offer. After already covering the quarterbacks, here are some running backs in the class of 2025 in the state of Missouri that still need offers.
Travon Pankey Travon Pankey 6’1″ | 190 lbs | RB Oak Park | 2025 State MO is a player that I’m very surprised hasn’t picked up his first official offer. Pankey is coming off a strong junior season in which he finished with 1,884 yards of total offense (1,742 rushing) and 28 total touchdowns in 12 games. He had tremendous vision, showing the patience to wait for the running lane to come open then hit it with a sense of urgency. Once he hits the open field he has the speed to simply run away from the defense and he also has the elusiveness and contact balance to make defenders miss. I expect that first offer to come Pankey’s way soon as he has received some Division I interest and definitely has the talent to play at the next level.
Kellen Lair Kellen Lair 5’10” | 175 lbs | RB Fair Grove | 2025 State MO is a running back that caught my attention with a strong junior year. Lair has very explosive speed which he uses to get to the outside in a hurry and then simply run away from the defense on long runs. He has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss once he hits the open field. Kellen is also a very dangerous returner on special teams, showing the ability to use his speed to break off a big return at any given moment. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an offer come Kellen’s way soon as he has received some college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
Highlights
Noah Spencer Noah Spencer 5’10” | 175 lbs | RB Oak Grove | 2025 State MO is another running back that caught my attention with a strong junior year. He finished this past season with 127 carries for 1,781 yards and 29 touchdowns in 11 games. Spencer is a downhill runner that hits the running lane with a sense of urgency and has the speed to run straight through the defense on long runs. He also has the contact balance to break tackles in the open field without losing stride. Spencer also played a key role in the passing game this past season, catching 21 passes for 363 yards and a touchdown. I expect some offers to come Noah’s way heading into his senior year as he has received a good amount of college interest and has the talent to play at the next level.
My final running back in this series is Trevion Taylor Trevion Taylor 5’11” | 200 lbs | RB Parkway Central | 2025 State MO from Parkway Central. Taylor is a very hard runner that has shown the ability to lower his shoulder and keep his legs churning through contact to break tackles without losing stride. Once he gets into the second level, Taylor has also shown that he has the speed to run away from the defense on long runs. Taylor hasn’t reported any college interest but he is a player that coaches should definitely have a close eye on heading into his senior year.
