The film is very limited, but you can’t beat a 6’4 310lb frame. A big body like this that can continue to be worked and molded is every college programs dream. Projecting as a guard at the next level, his sheer strength is enough to get you excited for his potential. He’s physical, nasty and loves to finish his blocks to the whistle. The film he does have shows some flashes, but will definitely require some work. Definitely a guy to add to the board and consider taking a chance on.

Markel is another player who has not released tape in over a year.
In 2023, Markel had a great freshman season. With a ton of varsity snaps, Markel was an absolute brick wall. I was impressed with his ability to stop some solid power rushers. Though, I did note that Markel was very fundamenetally raw, and pretty one-note.
I would love to see Markel back on the football field. His height and size make him a very high-upside prospect.

Markel has very high upside and could realistically develop into a great GLIAC / Fringe MAC prospect. Last season, Markel took a ton of varsity snaps as a freshman and was able to hold his own against good teams. All in all, he was an immovable brick wall. Although he was a brick wall, Markel needs to improve in almost every fundamental facet. His footwork was honestly bad, while his agility and overall aggression need to be corrected. Still, I’ve seen a lot of linemen overcome early issues and develop into great high school and college football players. Markel is boom or bust, but I’m betting on a big boom this season!
