Linebackers Climbing My Boards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have started seeing a ton of offseason content from a ton of different athletes and I have started to come across, and I am seeing a good amount of linebackers showing clear growth since the end of last season. He shows a pretty good amount of drive and hunger to get better as his online presence shows him working in the gym like crazy. His film backs up this work as the limited film I have seen of him from this past season shows a heads up linebacker who loves to fill gaps and make contact. He has a quick step as he is able to diagnose a play quickly, and is a sure tackler. He's not quite as quick as some smaller backers, but he is a tremendous gap filling linebacker who sheds blocks, or just flat out takes them on to create a pile. I like his sure tackling and strength at the point of attack. I would like to see him continue to work on agility and speed, but I think with his size and aggression, he could be a big problem this fall, and he could be a small school gem for someone at the next level.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1184520"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Dyer is another run stopping linebacker who flies to the point of attack with aggression. His physicality is on display on every rep as he is always shedding blocks, taking on lead blockers, filling gaps and making some jarring hits. I like that he does a nice job of reading the play with quickness, and that trait helps him get to plays you wouldn't normally see some guys make. After watching his film, I saw just how versatile he can be, and I really liked what I saw. His bag of moves off the ball in the trenches is deep, and his physicality makes him too much to handle for a lot off offenses. He begs for a double team, and demands offenses to get creative on how to neutralize him. He is still obviously very raw, but he has the size, speed and effort to be molded into a really good athlete for the next level. He's quick, and can fire off the edge and get into the backfield, or he can come up and fill gaps in the run game. I think he has some things to be coached up on, but I really think if a team took a flyer on him and got him into a college weight room and coached him up some more, this could be a diamond in the rough for them.
