Tristan is a linebacker who can align in Stacked positioning and on the Edge. He has good size and length, good athleticism and defends both the run and pass. Has the strength to hold his ground in the box and shed blocks versus offensive linemen. Tristan is a name to watch this fall, and we expect him to have a great season for Riverbend.

If you are looking for a stacked linebacker who has plus ability in both pass coverage and run defense, Tristan is your guy. I highlighted his run stuffing ability in my previous article that evaluated his film from last season. This season, we are seeing his ability to cover receivers in Zone coverage, turn his hips and trail them and play through the receiver’s hands to force an incompletion. He hustles through the play, always moving towards the ball to be involved in the tackle. While linebacker is his likely future at the next level, he is continuing to make plays at Tight End this season as well.

Tristan has good height and size at linebacker. Run stuffing linebacker who plays good in downhill situations off ball, but can align on the line of scrimmage. He has good processing at the start of the play and patience to make his reads and react to the play. Shows solid range against outside runs and a good ability to evade blockers with good acceleration to get to the ball carrier and make a tackle. Shows good strength and solid explosiveness when coming downhill on inside runs with good balance to stay on his feet and defend his gap. Good tackler who you can trust to bring ball carriers down in traffic or the open field. Also plays TE for his team providing a big target for his QB and can haul in passes outside of his frame and become a powerful ball carrier who is tough to bring down.
