If we can have our defensive lineman with the size, length, strength, and get off that we have built so far also play with the flexibility of

off the edge then we truly will be on the path to perfection. I love the way that Jaydon rushes the edge. He can so easily change pad levels, dip underneath an OT while running the loop, and get himself to angles that give him a leverage advantage but not lose his balance or footing. That is a special trait to have at your disposal while rushing at full speed. We need our Perfect DL Build to include the bend and flexibility of Jaydon off the edge.

I had high expectations for Jaydon coming into this game, but they weren’t high enough. What a performance from the senior DL and Winona State commit. The long, lean edge rusher lived in the Oshkosh North backfield. He was quick off the ball, used his hands and length to create separation, and showed impressive bend to get underneath or around OTs instantly off the snap. Lanser also showed off the outstanding range once in the backfield, chasing down ball carriers and the QB from behind or blowing up plays before they could even develop. You need disruptors off the edge at the next level, and Jaydon is one of the best that WI has to offer. Big things ahead for him.

. The 2025 left the camp with even more fans of his game, and an additional offer from the Blugolds. The 6’2″ 208 lbs ’25 edge defender is on the verge of a 6’5″ wingspan. Length that the incoming senior has utilized very effectively over the past year. Every rep we see Jaydon get that separation with those long arms. His hand quickness and lateral agility pair together to give him a very effective repertoire of pass rush moves. No doubt about it, Jaydon has the talent to be a menace off the edge at the next level. A big senior season is coming.

Jaydon has seen his recruitment really pick up steam this offseason after a dominant junior season. The 6’3″ 215 lbs DE/OLB has a powerful, explosive first step off the snap. His body control and bend around the edge give him the ability to dip under linemen and play at body angles that give him leverage when bull rushing. Jaydon has a quickly developing pass rush skill set as well. He sets up moves well and will counter off them. The ’25 DE uses his long arms and strong hands to rip or swim on OTs. Lanser has the range to make the high motor chase down plays too. Jaydon is a productive edge, with power, length, agility, and bend to develop into a force off the edge at the next level. Check out his junior Hudl highlights.

We are set to see Jaydon not only shake up the rankings here at PRZ WI, but also turn a lot of heads this summer. The junior is now up to an impressive 6’4″ and 210 lbs. That growth spurt is exciting because the added length is only going to make him more dangerous off the edge. Jaydon comes off the line with an explosive burst that instantly gives him the advantage over OTs. He can eat up cushion and then uses his hands to keep himself clean and get to the heels of the OT. Jaydon is an athletic edge who has shown the range to chase down plays from behind and closes quickly on the QB or inside run plays. The 2025 edge is an agile defender who can cut laterally on a dime and leave OTs punching at air. Lanser could be an early impact as a pass rush specialist. We will need to see him bulk up at the next level to be an impact against the run, but at the HS level he shows the ability to navigate around linemen and bring down RBs attacking his outside. He holds an offer from Bemidji State, and several others are sure to join them in pursuit of his talents.
