He demonstrated good body control, extending to catch passes outside his frame and securing the ball consistently. Nakamura also showed the ability to spread the field, working into open areas and presenting a dependable option for his quarterback. His awareness and effort allowed him to remain involved in half line and 3v2, contributing in a variety of ways. With continued refinement in his route running, Nakamura has the tools to become a consistent playmaker that can line up at multiple positions.

Nakamura has good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, good balance, acceleration, and speed. Good vision paired with good inside running. Good outside running. He turns the perimeter and will gash the defense. Nakamura uses his shiftiness to make defenders miss. He’ll drag defenders as well to gain extra yards. In limited defensive action, he’s shown good range and a knack for tackling. I’m interested to see how he continues to develop in an expanded role for Golden.
