Cory Lemer | Prep Redzone Scout
Grasso is one of the top ranked receivers in the state, and is coming off a tremendous Senior Season. Hailing from Section Two, and attending Niskayuna, the Future Great Dane, is a backyard recruit for Albany. Grasso stands at 6’1″ 175-Pounds, giving him an excellent size for a WR.
Grasso is a true do it all receiver, who excels down field, and can beat anytime of press, and separation given to him. He has an outstanding burst, and can reach his top speed quickly making him hard to tackle. Grasso is a slippery prospect, who has good footwork, and is excellent with the ball in his hands.
He will be utilized early on for the Great Dane offense, as his versatility, along with ability to make plays across the field, creates a mismatch against defenders, which I bet will be taken advantage of. His size is also a big factor, as he is in the perfect frame for a WR, allowing him to hit the field early on, and make an impact.

Playing for Niskayuna this past season, Grasso was a Swiss Army knife, and accumulated 28 touchdowns, will multiple impacts on both offense and defense. Cam will be heading to Albany next season.
The Class A player of the year, has elite speed, and can easily blow past defenders after the catch, he is a special teams weapon, and is a threat on returns. I like his motor, and he has the ability to play anywhere from the slot to the backfield on offense. His hands are the biggest plus for him, as he can make tough catches look easy. Albany is getting a future do it all player.
Congratulations Cam!

Grasso is listed as an ATH/WR. As a sophomore, he took snaps at both positions. The Niskayuna star stands at 6’1″ 175-pounds and projects as a WR who can be used as a wildcat or option QB in certain formations.
Grasso has serious speed. Reaching the second level is easy as he leaves opposing defenders yards behind in just a few seconds. His speed is visible in his WR tape as his quick first step and burst leaves DB’s hustling to catch up.
The Deep ball is his #1 route, but he shows a distinct tool bag of multiple other routes. His physicality and balance stand out as can be a human pinball machine with defenders bouncing off of him with contact.

Speed demon that flies deep down the field with a huge amount of separation vs. the defensive backs. Grasso did show versatility in taking QB snaps, being able to gain a large amount of yardage in the read option. Nonetheless, the contact balance to stay on his feet when engaging opponents did stand out. Overall, this is a playmaker that can take off for six points at any given play. Similarly, Grasso can weave between opponents and lanes because of his high level of lateral movement ability. While the deep ball is thrown in his presence, he can make contested catches.

Unique production—was section OPOY as a sophomore but played WR, RB, and QB as a junior due to teammate injuries. I think his home at the next level is wide receiver, where he has had a lot of success the past two seasons even though we saw a lot of position versatility this season. He is also a multi-sport recruit, excelling on the baseball field in the spring as well.
Positionally, Grasso shows good ball skills, but his general athleticism sets him apart from other prospects. On tape, he has the quickness, speed, and explosive movements that make the high school game look so easy to him—his ability to produce regardless of position backs that up, and on tape, he looks a tier above the competition.
