In previous positions we went with the bigger is always best mentality in this category of the build. However, while we are still looking for that we have to make sure we go with an athlete that is a WR and not one that is built more like a TE. Jonah Wenzler Jonah Wenzler 6'5" | 210 lbs | WR Homestead | 2025 State WI of Homestead fits that perfectly. He has the elite size and length to win out wide, create mismatches with his size and reach, plus win jump balls and overpower DBs in general. While searching through the WRs it was clear that his frame is exactly what we want to build around.

Jonah is turning in a dominant season of being a deep threat, jump ball winner, and redzone monster. Any situation that Jonah can use his massive frame to create space, you can bet he is going to shine in it. The senior has good timing and soft hands so he can catch the ball away from his body, only keeping the ball further away from the defense. Wenzler has also taken a step in his route running. The balance and quick hips have developed well over the offseason and gives him a chance to broaden his game. Jonah is becoming a really nice mismatch out wide that teams need to take a look into.

One of the state’s biggest steals among WRs is Homestead’s Jonah Wenzler Jonah Wenzler 6'5" | 210 lbs | WR Homestead | 2025 State WI . The 6’5″ 205 lbs athlete holds an offer from Lindenwood. Once his senior film starts coming out I have high hopes that we will see other schools join in on the recruitment of him. Jonah has all the size you could want to be a redzone threat and jump ball winner. He also has the soft hands to maximize his large catch radius. Jonah can really cover ground when he gets to open up and use his long strides. However, he also has the balance to be able to make solid route breaks to open up separation. The senior is a big play WR that more teams need to get on.

Jonah is a prospect that is just barely scratching the surface on his potential. We see the 6’5″ 205 lbs WR win out wide in a variety of ways. He has enough speed to get deep and uses that size to go up over the CB, if they were able to run with him. He flashes some effective route running and double moves to create separation. Most importantly, Jonah consistently makes catches while using that big frame and long arms to protect the ball. You will see a lot of plays ending with DBs trying to get to the ball but only being able to try and wrap him up because they can’t get to it. I’m excited to see how the body control advances this offseason, which would lead to even more effective route running.

The best WR that we added to the rankings was the big man out of Homestead HS. Checking in at 6’5″ 205 lbs, Jonah provides the size mismatch and catch radius that QBs love out wide and in the redzone. Jonah uses his size to his advantage very well. We see him high point the ball with strong hands. He understands how to position himself so he can box out DBs. The junior knows how to create separation with his size. Jonah also tracks the ball and can adjust his route to be able to get to the ball. A big year is on the way for the WR.
