Nichols, who started on varsity last season at CB, one of the few freshman DBs in New York, was productive with several INTS and showed on tape he can hang with bigger WR prospects. Nichols is another smaller DB who is quick and twitchy but he showed the ability as a freshman to stick with guys and be physical in coverage. As he gets bigger, his game will continue to develop for the next level.

Nichols had a strong freshman season for Monroe, with 5 INTs against tough competition. With Monroe moving up a class, Nichols and the entire defensive backfield will face even stronger, deeper teams at WR. Nichols is sticky in man coverage; he shows the ability to turn and run with guys efficiently and has good ball skills. Nichols also had a couple of solid INT returns that I think would translate to return skills. He is super quick and shows some explosiveness in space.

Terrence Nichols is a play making CB that laid it all on the line this past season for his team during his freshman season. This is a very young player that is going to have a lot of time and snaps to develop over the next season at Monroe High School. Last year, Nichols had 5 INTs, and certainly could have had a few more that were just out of his grasp. Nichols was seen on tape diving after the football on so many situations, showed great lateral movement, and was able to recover well against faster WRs. Nichols showed his versatility in both man and zone coverage situations. Including the pure ability to play in press or in off-coverage schemes. Additionally, Nichols also has playing experience at the WR position, where his shifty feet and ability to slip away from tackles came in handy when running short routes over the middle of the field. Being able to lean on his agility played huge dividends in separating from defenders. Obviously, a player to watch over the next few years here.
