In the recruiting news update, we are going to highlight several prospects that are making recruiting headlines this week. We have prospects receiving scholarship offers and setting up visits over the next few weeks making headlines this week.
Cash Archer Cash Archer 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Greenwood | 2025 State AR -Linebacker-Greenwood-2025
The Greenwood linebacker was one of the state’s leaders in quarterback sacks a season ago. Archer uses his speed well to get away from blocks and get into the opposing offensive backfield. He is a pass rusher that explodes into the offensive backfield. He can disrupt both the pass as well as the running plays. Earlier this week, Archer earned a scholarship offer from Louisiana-Monroe. He is a player to watch out for over the next couple of months. Archer has the potential to see playing time on Saturdays in the future.
Josiah Rainey Josiah Rainey 6'0" | 155 lbs | DB Sylvan Hills | 2025 State AR -Defensive Back-Sylvan Hills-2025
Josiah Rainey Josiah Rainey 6'0" | 155 lbs | DB Sylvan Hills | 2025 State AR is a playmaker on both sides of the football for Sylvan Hills. In the secondary, he can play cornerback or safety positions with impressive effectiveness. Rainey does a great job of playing the ball while it is in the air. However, he does not have any trouble separating the ball from the ball carrier. Rainey is the type of player that can shut down one side of the field and force the opposing quarterback into making mistakes with the football. Rainey picked up an invitation from Louisiana Tech to the April 6th Junior Day.
Anthony Kennedy Anthony Kennedy 6'6" | 275 lbs | DL Maumelle | 2026 State AR Jr.-Defensive Line-Maumelle-2026
Over the past few seasons, the state of Arkansas has done an excellent job of producing talented defensive line prospects. Anthony Kennedy Anthony Kennedy 6'6" | 275 lbs | DL Maumelle | 2026 State AR Jr. is a defensive lineman that attacks the offensive backfield. He is a difficult defensive lineman to block because of the mix of speed and power that he possesses. Kennedy Jr. is a prospect that is starting to blow up from a recruiting perspective. Earlier in the week, he earned a scholarship offer from the Tennessee Volunteers. He is a prospect to watch over the next couple of seasons.
Decari Prater Decari Prater 6'3" | 180 lbs | DB Prescott | 2025 State AR -Defensive Back-Prescott-2025
Decari Prater Decari Prater 6'3" | 180 lbs | DB Prescott | 2025 State AR has tremendous versatility for the Prescott Curley Wolves. He has the ability impact the game on both sides of the ball. Prater can play the safety or cornerback spots on the defensive side of the ball. He is a player that has a nose for the football. Meanwhile, on the offensive side of the ball, Prater has knack for creating separation from opposing defensive backs and catching the football. Prater will be making a visit to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane this weekend. I expect a big season from Prater this upcoming season.
Javeon Fricks Javeon Fricks 6'5" | 205 lbs | ATH Mineral Springs | 2025 State AR -Tight End-Mineral Springs-2025
Javeon Fricks Javeon Fricks 6'5" | 205 lbs | ATH Mineral Springs | 2025 State AR is a matchup nightmare on both sides of the ball for opposing teams. He is a great athlete that uses his size and quickness to cause plenty of headaches for the opposition. At the tight end position, he does a great job of getting open for his quarterback. Fricks has no problem high pointing the football. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball he can have an impact on both the opponent’s run and passing attack. Fricks will be paying a visit to Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas on Junior Day. Fricks is a player to watch this season.
