Doing these analysis allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Vladimir Raphael- Naples High c/o 25
6’0 195lbs
Raphael was outstanding this season and helped lead a stout defense for a 10-3 Eagles team. He’ll will be the returning tackle leader in the district after finishing with 78 tackles, 9 TFL, 1 INT and 4 sacks. Raphael also had 15 carries for 75 yards on offense. Raphael is receiving interest from NC State and FIU.
Strengths:
- Has the athleticism and ability to line up in the slot and run with receivers
- Closing speed is impressive
- Outstanding open field tackler
Louby Bastien- Golden Gate High c/o 25
5’11 200lbs
Bastien is another up-and-coming linebacker prospect in the district. Bastien finished the season with 36 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 QB hurries, and 1 forced fumble. Bastien is a good student with a 3.0 GPA
Strengths:
- Flashes instincts and anticipation
- Attacks downhill
- Does a good job sitting through traffic and getting the ball
LaCarlos McGee- Naples High c/o 25
6’1 210lbs
McGee is a talented athlete that could end up being the best linebacker in the district next season. He finished the year with 36 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 INT, and 3 passes defensed.
Strengths:
- Possesses very good speed and range to play sideline to sideline
- Good processor and reacts quickly to the ball
- Can readjust fluidly to the ball
Roman Gilberti- Bonita Springs High c/o 25
6’0 205lbs
Gilberti is a player to keep an eye on this Spring and into the 2024 season. He finished fourth on the team with 46 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, one fumble recovery, and 1 forced fumble.
Strengths:
- Versatile player that lines up in multiple positions
- Attacking mentality
- Solid open field tackler
Reese Van Gemert- Barron Collier High c/o 26
6’0 195lbs
Van Gemert is a linebacker that I’m excited to watch this season. The rising junior was productive last season registering 33 tackles, 6 TFL, 4 sacks, and 4 passes defensed.
Strengths:
- Athleticism and ability to play multiple positions
- Keys and diagnosis quickly
- Flashes quick speed and excellent range
