D2 powerhouse Grand Valley State signed one of the top defensive backs in Chicago last week, Isaiha Amaechi. Amaechi is a long defensive back with the ability to play corner or safety at the next level. He is a ball hawk that excels in man coverage. While at Phillips Academy in 2023, he accounted for 26 tackles and 2 interceptions. He is a great addition to a dominant Lakers’ defense.

Omarion Lewis
Omarion Lewis was a dominant outside wide receiver for Kenwood as a senior. He possesses all the tools to take over a game with good size and speed capable of breaking it open. Lewis has elite athleticism that can create a lot of separation from defensive backs. With such a high ceiling, Lewis is a player you’ll want to keep tabs on once he gets to SVSU.
MJ Hansen MJ Hansen 6’4″ | 280 lbs | OL Burlington Central | 2024 State IL is a big offensive tackle who plays a physical brand of football. A true throwback offensive lineman, standing at 6’4″ and weighing 285 pounds, he boasts great size. Hansen, headed to Michigan Tech, is a perfect fit for their run-first offense, given their preference for recruiting offensive linemen like him. With versatility to play inside or outside at the college level, Hansen brings a valuable skill set to the team.
