Playing his lone season last Fall with the Patriots, Grissom made a major impact and became a key force behind his team’s 5A title run. Opposing offenses had a hard time dealing with Grissom as he generated 84 total tackles with 21 of them for loss along with 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 11 passes defended, 1 interception, 12 sacks and 2 defensive touchdowns on the year. The Pats edge rusher was an absolute menace that did a little bit of everything from rushing the backfield towards stopping the run and creating defensive scores for his team.

Named game MVP for his efforts against the Smoky Bears, Grissom had a stand out night and was a key force behind the Patriots 1st ever football state title. Sevier Co. had a hard time sustaining drives in the second half and a lot of that was due to Grissom and his disruptive game play. The Pats edge rusher harassed the backfield all night as he put pressure on Newman while batting down several passes and stalling drives. Grissom also contributed on offense as the team’s power back.

Making his presence known on the offensive end was Cohen Grissom Cohen Grissom 6'2" | 225 lbs | EDGE/LB Page | 2026 State TN , an edge/linebacker at Page High School. Grissom was huge in the second half of play, making several huge runs, including one that resulted in a 44-yard touchdown. Grissom’s size and explosive speed off the snap helped him to shake tackles, be durable on the run, and made him extremely difficult to contain.
