Jacob Kreis Jacob Kreis 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Lipscomb Academy | 2028 State TN is an intriguing prospect who’s played very well for Lipscomb Academy this season. He’s got solid size at 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds with space to add weight. The sophomore moves well, has a nice eye, is a good tackler and plays strong in the middle.

He excels at stopping the run, where he can be seen meeting players at the line of scrimmage due to his good get-off and quickness. Kreis plays hard and is physical all over the field. Just a solid 2028 backer who could develop into an excellent player.

Lipscomb Academy has a ton of football talent slated to be freshman in the fall. Looking at who I believe will be there in the fall, the linebacker group is particularly strong for the Mustangs, with three prospects in this write up. While I think that all three will have a legitimate shot at playing an advanced level of college football, Jacob Kreis Jacob Kreis 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Lipscomb Academy | 2028 State TN looks the most ready for college coaches to start to get serious about. At a legitimate 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, Kreis moves like a future D1 athlete should. Complete with an ideal outside linebacker frame, he drops back into pass coverage well and patiently sits in his window of the coverage. Also an elite baseball player, his hand-eye coordination is on point which allows him to get his hands on more than a couple balls thrown in his area. It should be noted that Kreis did not play football this past season, sitting out after a transfer/reclass situation from Page Middle School.

If they aren’t already aware of him, people in and around Nashville will soon start to hear a lot about Lipscomb Academy’s Jacob Kreis Jacob Kreis 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Lipscomb Academy | 2028 State TN . Kreis didn’t play a single snap this season, due to transferring to Lipscomb Academy following a reclass year. However, watching his film from last season and the shape he’s in, he’s a no-brainer when it comes to talking about the top outside linebackers in the state. At 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, Kreis is very long and uses that length to his advantage. He could almost be considered more of an edge or defensive end type of player because of his propensity of getting into the backfield. However, after watching him intercept passes and cover guys in the flat, it would almost be a “waste” of athletic ability to put him on the defensive line right now. He’s too fast and athletic to only use in pass-rushing situations at this level. To boot, Kreis also gets it done on the baseball diamond and had his fastball clocked at 75 mph in June 2023.
