In the rankings update for the class of 2025, there was a lot of movement in a very talent-rich class. With that being said, I wanted to take a look at some of the risers in the class that caught my attention after looking back at the rankings update. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, here are some of the notable “ATH” stock risers in the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky that make an impact at multiple positions.
Jeremiah Jones Jeremiah Jones 6’4″ | 200 lbs | ATH Murray | 2025 State KY is a player that has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to climb up our rankings following a strong junior year. On defense, Jones lines up at strong safety, outside linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. He does a great job of reading the play and coming downhill in a hurry to make tackles in the open field. Jones finished the season with 66 tackles, four tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in 11 games. He also showed the ability to make plays against the pass, finishing the year with two interceptions and five sacks. Jones did most of his damage on offense at receiver, finishing the year with 22 catches for 326 yards and two touchdowns. He also spent some time at quarterback, throwing for 643 yards, six touchdowns , and two interceptions while also running the ball 63 times for 204 yards and three touchdowns. Jeremiah currently holds offers from Nebraska, Murray State, Louisville, and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect more to come his way as he is a true Power 4 caliber prospect.
Antajuan Dumphord Antajuan Dumphord 6’4″ | 200 lbs | ATH Southwestern | 2025 State KY is another player that has been on our radar for a while now and continued to climb up our rankings after a strong junior season. On offense, Dumphord is a very dangerous deep threat at wide receiver, using his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs. He finished this past season with 57 receptions for 1,047 yards and 12 touchdowns in 10 games. Dumphord also ran the ball 54 times for 322 yards and 12 touchdowns, and returned one kickoff for a touchdown. He also played a key role on defense, finishing the season with 35 tackles, five tackles for loss, and an interception. Dumphord currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect.
Highlights
Elijah Webb Elijah Webb 6’2″ | 170 lbs | ATH Paris | 2025 State KY is a player that has been on my radar for a while now but took his game to the next level this past season. Webb did a little bit of everything for the Paris offense. At receiver, he used his speed to pose as a deep threat and turn short passes into big gains. Webb led his team in receiving as a junior, catching 24 passes for 605 yards and nine touchdowns in 12 games. He was also productive out of the backfield, running the ball 24 times for 428 yards and seven touchdowns. Elijah also returned one punt and two kickoffs for touchdowns, and also played a key role on defense this past season, finishing the year with 26 tackles, three tackles for loss, and five interceptions. Webb doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he has the talent to play on either side of the ball at the next level.
Jarren Johnson Jarren Johnson 5’7″ | 175 lbs | ATH Union County | 2025 State KY is another player that took his play to the next level this past season. Johnson lined up at quarterback where he was an explosive threat in the run game, using his speed to break away on long runs at any given moment. He also showed the elusiveness to make defenders miss once he hit the open field. Jarren finished the year with 233 carries for 2,091 yards and 33 touchdowns in 13 games. As a passer, Johnson completed 42/86 passes for 680 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions. Jarren doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he projects well as a running back prospect at the next level.
To wrap up my list of stock-rising “ATH”, I have Braidin Baughman Braidin Baughman 5’9″ | 170 lbs | ATH Mercer County | 2025 State KY . Baughman was very impressive as one of the key playmakers in the Danville offense this past season. He had a strong junior year as a ball carrier, finishing the season with 139 carries for 672 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games. Baughman has explosive speed which he uses to burst through the running lane and break away on long runs. He also has shown the contact balance and elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Baughman also finished the season with 11 receptions for 79 yards and returned one kickoff for a touchdown. Braidin also played a key role on defense at linebacker, leading the team with 80 tackles along with seven tackles for loss and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. Baughman doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way going into his senior year as he has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
